It feels weird posting a review of a rehab, facility, huh? Well, if it helps make anyone feel more comfortable and confident in seeking help, I guess it's worth it. I did a medical detox from benzos here. The staff are all wonderful, caring people, who take good care of you and try to keep you comfortable and safe. With their treatment, I felt no withdrawal symptoms and aside from some drowsiness, no side effects. The only possible complaint I have is the food, but it kept me nutritionally satisfied, and that's enough. It's not a vacation.

If you feel like you need to make a change in your life, or got referred by your doctor or a family member, I fully recommend the place. Recovery is hard, but they'll do their best to make the initial (and scariest, IMO) detox process as easy and comfortable as possible.

I was admitted 04/22/24. Recovering from opioid addiction. This was my second time around. However, this time I put in a maximum effort in every group along with every assignment..I wanted to be successful in my recovery. I was warmly greeted and got down to business. It's is amazing what we can accomplish with a open mind, trusting heart and a willing spirit. The staff was incredible.. truthful.. and actually cared.
Currently I am 92 days sober...no wants or desires ...or cravings.
I strongly recommend Mrs Sherry " pain group " it is intense....but it had such a profound effect in my life.

A TOTAL MONEY GRAB! Stay away from this place. I have helped my friend through recover and everything has gone well other than his one week stay at this place. Very dishonest people.

As a former patient the counselors nurses and employees are knowledgeable helpful and friendly. The counselors nurses and workers have gone thru their addiction issues which they apply to every patients recovery program. They stopped whatever they were doing every time I reached out for help. They freely shared their experience strength and hope.Hemet felt like home to me. I am every day grateful for my recovery which happened as a result of the dedication of the counselors.

I am grateful to say that I have been sober ever since. When I walked into HVRC I was broken and had lost everything. I had no hope. I prayed every night for God to take me home to him and I woke up every morning angry that I was still alive.
The counselors are incredibly in tune with each client. I was treated with dignity and compassion and I was shown that there was hope. HVRC believes in treating the whole mind, body & spirit.
Through the daily groups and assignments I was able to begin the healing I so desperately needed!
Today I am part of the Alumni family that is strong and supportive. We meet each week with the current clients so that we can pass along what was so freely given to us. HOPE, SERENITY, RECOVERY, ACCEPTANCE, FORGIVENESS, CONNECTION, LOVE and my absolute favorite JOY. ?

My son was referred to this place by Kaiser Permanente. He was discharged in the middle of the night during Hillary tropical storm. I pleaded for them to wait until the morning since I live far away and the RN said no. They throw him to the streets with no money just the cloth on his back. This people are cruel. Shame on Kaiser Permanente for referring their patients to this hell hole.

HVRC was the best possible gift I could have given myself. I had no idea what to expect before I arrived but I had read really positive reviews. Everyone, from the nursing staff to the counselors to the doctors are compassionate and committed to helping their patients. I chose HVRC because in addition to 12-Step I really wanted a holistic approach - yoga, meditation & spiritual- approach. I got it all. I was there for 35 days & I've been home for a week and feel so grateful for the care I received. I'm going to meetings & looking for a sponsor. I plan to return as an alum for my 90-day. 6 & 9 month chips as well my year chip....one day at a time. Thank you HVRC! Only thing I can think of for improvement is communicating exactly what to expect to patients. They rely on patients to show each other the ropes.
