My wife and I have been going to La Mesa Dental for about 10 years. Until
today, service has always been excellent. They are thorough and do a great job. Today I was running a bit late for the very first time ever. I received a call and was told I had three minutes to get there, or I would be charged a no show fee of 50 dollars. As a psychologist, I understand the need for late fees, and have requested them for certain patients that have a pattern of being late, or simply not showing up. But I always extend grace to patients if it is the first time they are late. After being a faithful, punctual patient for so many years, I would have appreciated such a courtesy. I made it there minutes after the call and was grudgingly served. My teeth are happy, but that’s about all.

Estella the hygienist is excellent, gentle and really cares about her patients. She gives great tips on daily hygiene for your teeth as well! Dr Abigail is knowledgeable, kind and is very informative giving all options to her patients! Even the front desk attendants are very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Smooth process! I went in for a filling today for a cavity that developed near an old filling. I’m so thankful for how easy it was. I literally felt like I was just there to relax in their chair, they took so many steps to help keep my mouth open and protectors to keep my tongue away from the area and they suctioned and rinsed continuously. They were thorough and communicated through the process and asked if I was doing ok. It felt so smooth and way better than past experiences at other dentists. So thankful! Words don’t express how easy it felt. I didn’t feel anything and the numbness was minor than in the past too when I left. I felt they used just the right amount to do the job.

I love this office. From the front desk to the doctors, everyone is kind, accommodating and professional. Their bedside manner is perfect for anyone who has any reservations about getting any dental work done. For example, Axel (dental hygienist) always let me know what he was doing and made sure I was comfortable with every step. I’d you’ve ever had a bad experience with dentists give this place a try.

Everyone was really nice and it stared great, with me checking in and was called and taken to the room right on time, we had the x-rays done immediately and then I sat for 30 to 40 minutes and when I did see the Dentist it was literally a 1 or 2 minute check with no cleaning, it felt rushed and was asked to make an appointment to see the orthodontist and another for the cleaning. I was disappointed that I didn't get my teeth cleaned but I could have lived with it if I didn't over here that they were short handed and that obviously made it obvious to why I was rushed out. Again everyone was nice, but I felt like nothing was accomplished.

Always a great experience at La Mesa dental. Honest dentist that does a quality job. Not to mention, they NEVER upsale you! I couldn’t recommend them enough. This is my forever dentist.
