I have been going to this dental office since the 90’s and I’m still a patient. My longtime dentist, Dr Edelman, an excellent dentist retired during Covid and Dr Ma who took over is an excellent replacement. Most of their staff have been there for many years and that says a lot to me. Their hygienist, Rey, is thorough, gentle and caring so you look forward to your next cleaning appointment with him. You will like the front and the back office staff, they are all friendly and nice.

I went in with a lot of pain for a root canal. I made the appointment at 9:30 am, but I saw the doctor at 10:25, after filling out my medical history myself. I clearly told the assistants that I was going for a root canal, but they were so dishonest that only after taking the x-rays so they could collect the money and making me lose an hour, they told me that I actually need a root canal but that they don't do it there. They used to do it but now they don't.
Don't waste your time or your money.

The entire Gentle Dental team are fantastic. They extend the perfect balance of professionalism and personal connection. Ray does an excellent job with my dental hygiene, and he always takes the time to listen and provide commensurate guidance. Dr. Ma is a wonderful dentist and has done a great job with my dental procedures and overall preventative care. He is meticulous in his work and very thorough. In addition, the entire staff treats my MIL, who has dementia, with extreme patience and kindness. Thank you all!

I do love Rey ss my hygienist. Very professional and my teeth and gums have improved under his care. He is gentle and he also identified areas of concern that were contributing to pain and we are following a plan together with much benefit.

I’ve been with Gentle Dental since they used to be Piedmont Hills Dental over 40 years ago. The best dentists in town. The assistants are the greatest and the doctors, like Dr Ma and Dr Kashani are absolutely the best.

My appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm. I was not seen by Dr. Ma until 2:45pm. I was expecting a cleaning on top of my x-rays but was told that I would need to return for the cleaning. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location.

Gentle Dental McCarthy Ranch is by far an incredible office all around. My family has all gone to see Dr. Ma and Rey. My son had such a great experience and my daughter. Dr. Ma is extremely patient and does outstanding work. My son and daughter needed fillings and their teeth look great. I needed a couple of crowns and I am extremely nervous and the assistant Angie was so patient and kind and the temporary’s stayed on and I had no issues. I had all ceramic crown’s done (I don’t want metal) and I got them sooner than I expected and they looked so great and fit just like my own! Nancy (another wonderful assistant) is always so friendly and helpful with the family as well. Rey is great with all our cleanings and very thorough. I would definitely recommend this office and I have to my entire family. I trust the entire staff (including the front desk) and if your looking for a great warm and friendly office, then look no further.
