Dr. Yan and his team are very welcoming, extremely professional, and best of all very, very knowledgeable and exceptionally talented. They make you feel comfortable, continuously checking in on you, explaining what they're doing and why, no pressure whatsoever, and you know you're probably in the hands of the best dentist miles miles around. Can't say enough good things about him and his practice. He even calls you himself from his own cellphone later that evening just to follow up with you to make sure you're doing fine. Wow!!

I had a remarkably positive experience getting a root canal done here at my milpitas dentist. The staff was incredibly professional, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The dentist skillfully performed the procedure, explaining each step and ensuring minimal discomfort. The office's atmosphere was welcoming and the aftercare instructions provided were thorough. They informed me that I would experience slight discomfort after the treatment that went away fairly quick. I highly recommend this office for anyone in need of dental care. They turned what could have been a daunting experience into a surprisingly positive one. I look forward to coming back for this rest of my treatment.

It has been several years since I’ve been to a dentist and I knew I probably had some cavities since some of my teeth were sensitive to sweets. I figured it was about time I visited a dental clinic. I am very glad that I found My Milpitas Dentist as they have made my whole dental experience very comforting. I was able to find the office by searching the internet. The office’s website was easy to maneuver and I liked how I was able to fill out my medical information beforehand.
When I called to set up an appointment, they were extremely friendly, informational and answered all my questions. The office was able to get me an appointment fairly quickly. It’s located on the second floor and there is plenty of parking which is great. I loved their waiting room! They have a lovely fish tank and very appealing coffee bar. The front office was very personable and welcomed me by name, which I appreciated because it tells me that they take the time to know and recognize their patients. The front office ladies went over what I could expect during the appointment and I waited a short period of time before the dental assistant took me back.
The dental assistant was very nice and explained things thoroughly before she took the x-rays. She was able to do them fast and I barely had any discomfort with them. I chatted with assistant for a couple of minutes before Dr.Yen came in to introduce himself and perform my exam. He did some clinical test on my teeth. Using teeth models and my xrays on a screen, I was visually able to understand the treatment I needed moving forward. Dr. Yen did a fantastic job in explaining how a cavity forms and preventive things I could do at home.
At my appointment, the hygienist had time for my cleaning and he did a fantastic job. He was gentle and thorough. He had me show him how to brush and floss at home, then provided me with techniques to enhance my at home care. My teeth felt brand new after my cleaning. Prior to scheduling my appointment for next time, the front office sat me down and explained in detail the estimated cost of each appointment while factoring in how much insurance would cover.
I have gone back several times to get some fillings done and Dr. Yen and his staff always did a great job. Dr. Yen explained to me it is very normal to have some sensitivity for a short period of time but that subsides and it absolutely did.
I am no longer uncomfortable! I am so glad to have found an office that prioritizes my dental needs by providing excellent care and education on how to take care of my mouth. Their honesty and professionalism is amazing and I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a dental office who truly cares about their patients to go to Dr. Yen at My Milpitas Dentist.

I recently had a filling done at Dr. Yen’s office. The office itself is really clean and nicely decorated. The staff was extremely pleasant and professional. The dentist Dr. Yen was amazing! I will admit going to the dentist isn’t my favorite due to past experiences but Dr. Yen was very nice and informative during my procedure as he worked on my tooth. He was also very gentle and diligent when performing his work. I would highly recommend setting up an appointment with him and this practice. They take care of you.

I am a software engineer and typically don't like going to the dentist. From my time growing up, I found that going to the dentist results in a long wait in the waiting room (typically 10-15 minutes) as well as a lot of vague advice about flossing more. However, after visiting this office my opinion changed a bit about dentist office. My wait this time was only 2 minutes before I was brought to the dental chair where a friendly dentist cleaner Nathan gave me a thorough cleaning and lots of useful specific tips. After that, I was seen by Dr Anthony Yen DMD, who was very friendly. Dr Anthony Yen was very helpful in terms of giving good pointers on how to keep teeth healthy, and gave me a sample of toothpaste that he thought would be particularly good for me, as well as instructions for how to best apply that toothpaste to my teeth. I'm proud to say that my teeth are feeling in pretty good condition after that visit.

I also really enjoyed the ceiling art. I've attached a photo that I took -- I think it may be a picture of a beach from Carmel, or maybe Monterey.

One suggestion for this dental practice is the room number is 151, but it's on the second floor, so it would be more intuitive to find if the room number was 251.

This is by far the best dental office I have been to.

I found Dr Yen after I moved neighborhoods and was looking for a dentist closer to my new home. I had been scheduled for a root canal the week before - my previous general dentist had referred me to a specialist endodontist to see if I need a root canal, since she doesn't perform root canals herself. The endodontist then decided I needed a root canal without even seeing me in person (just based off my x rays from my general dentist). It's really fortunate I postponed because after a second opinion from Dr Yen, he determined I don't need one yet. I guess everyone looks like they need a root canal with $1000 copay if you're a specialist endodontist in this economy...

Another amazing thing about this clinic is that they have same-day crowns. Prior to Dr Yen, I had been preparing for about 4 trips to 2 different dentists - initial root canal checkup, the actual root canal, then back to general dentist for 2 sessions for the crown. But with Dr Yen I just needed to go in once. He also completed a filling in the down time while the crown was being milled.

During the session, Dr Yen further determined that I needed even less treatment than he had earlier thought. I very much appreciate the honesty and avoidance of unnecessary treatments.

Dr Yen is so nice and also talks through every procedure and result to educate you, which I really like.

The rest of the staff is incredibly friendly too. The first time I visited, I was offered a pillow and blanket and water by the dental assistant... what Is this Singapore Airlines?! There's also a dedicated financial coordinator who goes over charges with you before the procedure so there are no surprises.

The only thing I'd hope for is for the clinic to be open on Fridays and on the weekend, but otherwise, this dental clinic is unreal, in a good sense, like flying business class after years of economy.
