I just left Millbrae Salon and was having a nice conversation with the owner while she did my nails. After she was done wiping my hands down with the hot towel I asked her if I could get my nails buffed please. Which she said sure. She went to a little door she had in the wall and grabbed a bag and pulled a Nail Buffer Block. Before she started with the buff she told me that I would have to purchase the Nail Buffer Block after she was done with it because the don't reuse them.

So I kindly declinded got up paid her $25 for the manicure and gave her a $5 tip.

I personally think this is bad business. I'm 58 years old and have been getting Manicures & Pedicures since I was 18 years old and have never heard of this. I've been doing this so long they used to put that pick polish on your nails back then and use a machine to buff them.

So the bottom line is I'm not going to say don't go there but I never will again. Bad business is bad business.

Last but not least I only went there because were I usually go to get my nails done Vicky at V&V Nails she was on vaction.

Very nice staff. They were able to accommodate my boyfriend and I even though it was very busy. We were even able to get out in a timely fashion. I would recommend that you call ahead of time if you have more than one person.

I don't ever have to worry about any of these lovely ladies doing my nails. Each one of them gets it right every single time. From the shape that I asked for and making sure the nails are even on both hands and both feet. To even making sure that the gel is thin and doesn't bubble. I go out of my way from where I live just to go to Millbrae nails. Thank you ladies!

Very professional, the staff is very good and the owner is top notch! They all take their time and makes sure you leave with the best quality service. I waited it out during the pandemic to wait for their reopening and they ensured to provide a safe environment and observed all safety protocol. I felt relaxed and safe going there after 18 long months. The prices were increased due to the pandemic closure but I found it to be fair and well worth it. I will return for sure.
