Was training for the London Marathon 2024 and started suffering with my left hip area and groin area, i was recommended to see Ann-Marie at Newcastle Physiotherapy. After 5 mins chat with Ann-Marie explaining my issues she carried out a thorough check and explained what my problems were and how we we going to address them. After she worked her magic on me i was given exercies to do before my next visit which was backed up with an email incase i forgot how to do them. After a few weeks back and forth i could feel the benifits of Ann-Maries hard work with me and i had my last visit the week before London Marathon. Thanks to Ann-Marie i maganed to complete the Marathon without any problems with my hip or groin areas. I cannot recommed Ann-Marie enough and really knows her profession and is very professional. I saw Fatma Elmahdi at Newcastle Physiotherapy for knee issues which have plagued me for most of my adult life and interfered with sport that I wanted to do and can safely say that Fatma and her approach, knowledge, expertise, support and encouragment have transformed my life! Having suffered from patellofemoral pain since late teens I have seen various phyios over the years in a number of countries. I thought I was doomed to a life of knee pain flare ups and less and less running as I aged but Fatma showed me that this was certainly not the case! I am honestly amazed at the 10km pain free runs I can do now, thanks to Fatma, and look forward to increasing both my strength and distance. Fatma's approach was holistic, educational and supportive and her hands on work was second to none. She spent time making sure that the tight muscles in my quads were released and fully relaxed which alleviated knee pain. With her background in both kinesiology and physiotherapy she is an expert clinician with a unique insight into movement and is the only physiotherapist who has been able to fully support my progression to single leg squats which is something I thought I would neverbe able to do! Fatma's expertise, patience and support enabled this and I'll be eternally grateful to her for this. Enlightened physio like this is truly life changing! Fatma also sends on video links of how to do the exercises prescribed which was very helpful. All staff that I met at this practice were friendly, helpful and supportive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newcastle Physiotherapy and Fatma Elmahdi in particular. She is a truly gifted practitioner.
