Changing my mind on not working there was heartbreaking because I really thought I was gonna be happy, I even waited 2 weeks for the opening. Finally got hired on 9/17 for night shift. The DSD had me come in for orientation the next morning then an extra 5 days night shift, which is ridiculous because the facility is small and I have 10yrs experience. Even worse the payroll lady expected me remember an old user name & password from my last job in order to be in the system to get paid. She told me to call a number if I can’t remember, which is something she should’ve been doing. So by not having such a comfortable experience orientating after 3 days, I decided I was no longer interested. I asked the DSD was I still getting paid for my 3 day orientation, she said did I receive a letter from payroll, I said yeah but when I clicked on it, it said the invite was expired. Then she said if u didn’t accept then u not getting paid. I said that’s crazy because I was putting my orientation hours on papers which u signed. She said I can’t help u and payroll lady on vacation. So they didn’t even pay for orientation, if I would’ve did the 5 days, it would’ve been for nothing.

They ordered medical product from our company in mid February for $147. We are still unpaid four months later. All they do is give us a run-around. Are they not paying their other bills. Are they in financial distress? The administrator doesn't have voice mail. We sell to other facilities in the area that pay just fine. I recommend anyone with a facility member to place in a care facility to chose a different one.

I'm very sad at the care this facility provides. The nurses don't seem to be use to family members asking questions or making requests. Too many times our family member was neglected by not having his bandages, clothes or bedding changed. They forgot to brush his teeth and he developed bed sores and a bad eye infection. The nurses roll their eyes when we ask for assistance and the case worker, Linda, is unprofessional; she verbally attacked us. Please find another facility.

This is an absolutely wonderful facility. They take care of their patients and the family. They updated us on the condition of our family member on a regular basis. Those involved in treatment (nurse, physical therapist, social services coordinator) met with us in a contactless setting and answered our questions.
When we were dealing with insurance issues they stepped in to provide guidance. The staff was patient in helping us understand areas where we were questioning coverage decisions.
They assisted us in finding a good board and care upon release. Then, when most facilities would end the relationship, they followed up to coordinate getting a hospital bed, physicial therapy and physician-nurse on-site visits.
You can not go wrong with this hospital.

My father was sent there to recover. At first everyone seemed nice, but I guess it was only when we would visit. Just today, my father decided to speak up and told us that one of the nurses will push him and mistreated him when it came to changing him. Most of the clothes we took were not returned. Supervisor stated it was just a misunderstanding. Covering up for her nurse. I would never recommend this place. I’m disappointed of how the nurses treat patients.

This facility has changed since the previous administrator Sammy left and new Administrative Director took over...we now hear "policy" "regulations" "administrative decision" "we are not asking but informing the decision" etc. ... these are the words that we hear often.

I had both of my in-laws lived in this facility for a long time who passed away years ago, now my Mom has been admitted and it's been over 3 years and close to 4 years.

This facility is now focusing on the external things but all the important core values have been stripped away from administrative staff's priority lists. All of them looks very friendly with fake smile on their face but they are not ready to hear or discuss. I say fake because what ever discussed or talked about turns out to be the opposite results or no followps at all. I can see the frustrations from everyone including nursing staffs, families whose been around years and even administrative staff themselves because they do not possesses the quality to administer such organization.

The marketing materials(video recordings) posted on this home page is not true anymore. The Korean meals are unacceptable. Daily worship services have been removed because they feel it is unfair for people who is not religious. They decided to put up the divider in the middle of already small and crowded room during meal time to divide patients into two separate groups for human dignity (feeding group vs. non-feeding group).

New admin director Chris said that they want this facility to be a home for the patients not the place where people are waiting to die. But they do not respect patients and families, meeting notices are given the same day and it is not to discuss but to inform the decision. Patients belongings are constantly lost and disappears forever. They promise that they will find them but no followups about the status and what they are going to do about.

The lists go on and on...

I clearly see the discrimination in making decisions for arranging, relocating, moving around patients. Some of the patients have been moved around countless times, some never have been. Every time when patients are relocated, family members are frustrated, bad for all patients specially for Alzheimer patients, patients clothigs need to be relabeled, etc. I understand that there could be a situation that we all need to cooperate but not the kinds that I am experiencing lately....

This place used to be a home-like happy facility that family members take of each other' parents but not anymore...it has completed changed.

My mom is bed bound and need to be repositioned every two hours...often times I have to call asking for help which will take another 30 min until the requested help to be provided.

I DO NOT recommend this place.

My mother in law stayed here twice, the first time she wasn't very happy we didn't understand why. She wouldn't explain just she didn't like it so we left it alone it was a short stay. After having to go back a second time I was refusing her to return and Lauren called me and asked what happen. After talking with my mother in law she didn't like sharing rooms with 3 other people she felt crowded and just didn't like it. Lauren took care of it, everytime my mother in law called with any complaint (and most complaints were her wanting things her way) I called Lauren or the charge nurse and it was handled even if it was just talking to my mother in law. I learned of you have a issue voice it they are there to help your loved ones stay but they can't change if you wait to make a bad review to change it you must speak up. After we made our concerns vocal they all worked hard to make my mother in laws stay as comfortable as they could her care was great and they made sure we had all the information in her treatment. Thank you Lauren, Joanne and the director for listening not only to us but to my mother in law....

As of recent, service and quality of care at this facility has dropped significantly. Possibly d/t recent change of admin? As you can see below, in their own brochure, they "include a special menu and program to accommodate Korean patients." This is what initially attracted my family in making the decision to have my grandparent be under the care of this "five-star facility." When my loved one was initially placed here, they actually did make an effort to provide the best food for all their patients - regardless of their nationality or race. Due to the large amount of Korean speaking patients, they really had great programs to offer and even a decent Korean meal. Now, in talking about meals - this is HUGE for this population of patients - most of which already have a difficult time eating as it is. Having a decent Korean meal provided comfort for much of these patients. Recently though, their Korean meals have been sub-par - if you would even call it that. Patients have been complaining that the Korean dishes taste like dog-food and is not edible at all. Many of these patients can barely eat as it is - and to add to that, the food is not edible. I've been told that many of the residents have lost a lot of weight (this is from family members themselves). One of the CNAs even mentioned that there is no longer enough staff to feed all the residents - so many go unfed through lunch time - only to have their trays taken away. No wonder why all these patients are losing weight! I'm going to be checking with CDPH to see if anything can be done. We didn't send my grandparent here to be neglected. Talking about neglection - one day, the sitter for my grandparent did not show up and one of my family members had to sit there, waiting for hours until a replacement could come in. How ridiculous is that?! And to add to this, with the recent turnover of admin or staff, I hear there's been some push to drive some of the Korean speaking residents out. Why advertise for these services in the first place then? There are so many more issues that I want to write about - but will be reporting them to the appropriate agencies. On the medicare.gov website you could find all their recent deficiencies- 7 citations from their inspection in March 2017.

EXTREMELY disappointed with this facility.
