The dentist here is very genuine and gentle when working on your teeth. I was extremely nervous to get my wisdom teeth removed but the staff here allowed me to ask every question I had and make me feel comfortable. My 4 wisdom teeth were removed very quickly and painlessly! So glad to have found them! They are always kind and make me feel good about going to the dentist.

I have been a loyal client here for 3 years now and today I finally made the decision to take my business elsewhere. I used to think going to the dentist was a regular part of maintaining my health, but I realize now it's all just a business!

I got a root canal and several crowns here. While I cannot speak to the quality of the root canal, I do know the quality of the crowns here is poor. I had issues with the fit of the one crown (had to come in to get it shaved and they charged me for that when it was their mistake) and I had extreme pain and discomfort with a different crown. I came in emergently to get that crown fixed because of the pain and caught some attitude from Dr Kang about coming in on his day off and having to leave his kids at home. In that moment, I was very empathetic and grateful to him, but looking back, that was incredibly unnecessary and unprofessional to mutter to a patient who is coming in bc your work was shoddy in the first place.

The crown issues don't end there. Yesterday my crown fell off. They said I have to get more X-rays and pay for an examination fee. I have literally gotten so many x rays here. You would think that they would actually do something with those scans and warn me about the deteriorating quality of my crown or the decaying tooth under it. What am I paying for exactly? I'm appalled at the lack of accountability here. The exam and X-rays for this faulty crown should be free of charge.

Lastly, the claims they submit to my insurance are insaaane (most of their claim items are rejected by Delta bc of lack of documentation and proof). It just all feels so scammy to me and I'm upset I spent so much time putting my trust in this practice. Look elsewhere if you care about the quality of your dental work. I'm really sorry to leave this review, but these are my honest thoughts and I hope the practice can learn from my experience.

It was a great visit!

My daughter had some bad experiences with dentists when she was younger, and now her teeth aren't in great shape. So, I'm really careful about picking a dentist. A friend told me about Ohana Dental, so I tried it out before bringing my whole family.

From making an appointment to leaving, everything went smoothly. There was a parking lot and plenty of street parking, and the office looked nice and spacious. The staff were friendly and explained payment options clearly.

Dr. Kang was not only skilled and professional but also took ample time to explain the symptoms I had, for which I'm deeply grateful. His assistant was also skilled and gentle.

By the way, watching Netflix during the procedure helps make my anxiety relax. I was truly impressed with my visit. My daughter and husband will go there next. Big thanks to my friend for telling me about Dr. Kang!

They couldn’t numb me for root canal and crowns - worst experience ever. I feel like I have dentist trauma now. It was so painful.

Ive been to so many dentists and I’ve never not been able to be numbed before. But I thought maybe something about me changed, maybe chemically or something, but I just got a new Dentist in Pasadena and they easily numbed me for fillings. My face/lip is the kind of numb that is funny because I can’t smile or talk right. And I had no pain or feeling during the appointment.

I’m not sure what Ohana is doing differently but it was a terrible experience for me. They were seemly kind and good people, but I will never go back and won’t recommend anyone to go there. Of course all people are different and respond to medicine differently. and maybe they just use a different numbing agent? Not sure.

I had my first visit to this fantastic office, and I must say, the ambience was wonderful! The decor was lovely, and everything was so clean and organized, making it a truly inviting space. From the front desk staff to the hygienist, dental assistant, and the dentist, everyone was incredibly friendly, personable, and professional. They were not only efficient but also respected my time, ensuring I received timely service. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
