Dr. McDonald put my daughter through weeks of consultations and then canceled on us the night before surgery because his office manager, Lisa, is a disrespectful nightmare. The entire staff has been rude to my daughter and I since the moment we walked in the door and has made our surgery experience more difficult at every stage of the process. I have spoken with our orthodontist about not referring patients out to them anymore and would encourage anyone who receives a referral to McDonald to ask for a referral elsewhere. Dr. McDonald broke his commitment to my daughter and put her health in danger. Patient abandonment is against the law and McDonald should not be allowed to practice medicine.

Update: We ended up going to Vallejo Oral Surgery with Dr. Elder. On top of being infinitely more pleasant and professional, they charged us half what McDonald tried to.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Mcdonald and he explained everything in depth, the procedure was flawless, and the office staff was fun to chat with! I worked in a nearby dental office for 5 years and we often referred patients to him because we knew his main goal was quality work. He used high quality implants and planned out procedures with the utmost detail. I recommend all my family and friends to his office for oral surgery!

I was looking up Dr Mcdonald to refer him to a friend and was surprised to see negative reviews. Both me and my daughter have used Dr McDonald's office for extractions and implants. We both had very good experiences. It's not fun getting an implant or getting a tooth pulled and Dr McDonald and his staff are wonderful, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr McDonald.

Absolutely perfect experience! Having my wisdom teeth extracted was not something I was very excited about... but if you have to get it done, i would definitely recommemd going to McDonald Oral Surgery! Dr. Mc Donald was very thorough, professional, and is great at what he does! Prior to surgery, Dr. told me everything I needed to know and what to expect... the front office gave me an accurate estimate and was extremely organized! I wouldn't change a thing about my visits. Thanks Dr. McDonald and staff!!

My daughter had a consultation with Dr. McDonald. He is friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to go to another oral surgeon because of their shady billing practices. I have dual dental coverage and they still wanted to collect money up front. They should balance bill the difference to the secondary insurance and then send me a bill. Not everybody has $1000 laying around.

Lisa is very rude! Has a complete attitude from the jump. Very unprofessional. Their staff feels that someone would be taking care of someone else without it being court ordered. Would not recommend ! Cancelled my appointment literally the day before because they “didn’t have proper documentation” even though I sent in multiple court orders proving guardianship. Would not recommend at all. After the attitude I was given by multiple staff on multiple occasions. The inconveniences this has caused me & my dependent. I am happy I did not let them care for us .

Dr. McDonald and his staff are all amazing. They are professional, understanding, gentle, very funNY and explain everything to you. I recommend them to everyone!! Especially anyone with a fear of dental work....they will make you feel comfortable, safe & informed. They do great work & do it fast. I wish they did general dentistry!

The front staff has attitude. The xray technician was very professional and sweet. Dr. Mc Donald seemed he had a little bit of an authority complex. Didnt feel comfortable being seen by him. Wont be coming back.
