There was mostly a good experience in my consultation but in the end I experienced rudeness over the phone, so I'm giving a 3. The staff was professional and helpful in setting up my appointment, and in my consultation, Dr. Maggie Yousefpour was very kind and spent time explaining the situation, told me that I needed an exploratory surgery. However, she said that she was unwilling to do it because my insurance doesn't pay enough. She referred me to another DPM that she thought took a lot of these surgeries. However, when that referral didn't work out because Dr. Abrams isn't doing surgery anymore at all, I called back to try to see if they could suggest anyone else. I didn't hear back for 2 weeks. Mind you, my foot feels worse day by day. When I finally got to talk to Michelle 2 weeks later, I was treated rudely when told that's the only person we refer to, and we can't and won't help you anymore. I suspect that Dr. Yousefpour's office doesn't believe me that they're not doing surgeries anymore, but just thinking that I was mistaken. But I verified this by talking to 2 different people in Dr. Abrams office because someone else returned my phone call after I'd already spoken with them and said the same thing.
I said, "But Michelle I am trying to convey some information back to Dr. Yousefpour. Does she know now NOT to refer anyone else to Dr. Abrams for surgery?" She could have called to confirm my information first but obviously didn't. So I suspect she will continue referring cases to him for surgery until she finds out that I knew what I was talking about. Michelle was just rude on the phone and there was no reason. "We're busy with other patients and I can't talk to you for half an hour and I'm going to hang up now. You just have to tell your primary to find you someone else on her own."
Okaaaaay. Didn't need to talk to me like that. Needed to say, "Thank you for the new information about Dr. Abram's office. We appreciate knowing that. We will verify it, and if so we won't refer people for surgery there anymore if that's a dead end." That's what she should have said, I think. Overall, I guess a waste of my time since I am back at square one as my foot pain worsens each day and the foreign body is pushing on the nerve.
Probably would've given them a 5 if not for the extremely nasty tone of the final conversation. Actually, probably wouldn't have reviewed them at all if not for the completely snotty attitude, seeing as how the doctor even said that she didn't care about getting paid for the consultation since she was unwilling to help me, and was referring me out. But since I couldn't call the office back again and ask to speak to the doctor, reviewing is my only way to get the message across to the doctor that the office manager was rude to me in the end and could have handled it better.
I now see that the doctor has replied to my review but can only see part of her reply that shows up in my email, getting cut off. For some reason when I click on "read the rest of the reply", it only takes me to my own comments. Maybe she later deleted her reply, not sure. To respond to what I CAN see of her reply, yes the doctor from Hara Podiatry admitted that the glass shattered in my toe the second time he tried to get it and now required surgery so yes, that makes sense. And no, you didn't review my MRI by looking at the CD yourself that I brought, you only read the radiologist report about my MRI. And that doctor's comments were for the whole foot, not focused on the toe, so he could've missed something so actually you should have looked yourself at the images. That's all I could see of the Dr.'s reply, but what I saw was defensive in nature and offering no apology for the rudeness. I suppose that I really can't be sure if Michelle is to blame for the rudeness or the doctor herself. I sensed that Michelle was reflecting an attitude coming from her boss. And if there's no apology, I guess that's true rather than it coming as a surprise to the doctor that I was spoken to thusly. Otherwise I would have expected an apology.

I have been going to Dr. Maggie’s office for the past three weeks for some Foot Callusus and Warts. I was experiencing a lot of pain prior to coming but Dr. Maggie has been exceptional with the weekly procedures which have drastically reduced my pain. She also provided great at home treatment that has been helping tremendously.

Kathleen the office manager is awesome as well. Both of them have great, positive energy that definitely makes the visit enjoyable and worthwhile. They are direct and upfront with what you have and what procedures you need.

Overall, great experience thus far and will definitely be coming in the future for any other sort of foot/nail treatment.

I'm only giving 1 star because I can't give zero!! What a joke this place is.. dr and staff argued infront of me the entire visit..my visit was about them and not me... dr Maggie also told me to take a prescription that she said had no side effects .lie.. regardless they were so caught up in themselves that the prescription never got called in...the xray referral wasn't given. I canceled my next appointment and was harassed by dr maggie...worst experience I wouldn't have posted this review if she hadn't phoned me and harassed me..do not recommend
