Great experience from start to finish! I had rehab after my second thumb surgery. For the first rehab I went to a different practice which did a good, competent job.

This time my doctor suggested Desert Hand and Physical Therapy and I’m glad he did. While techniques were similar, the therapists at Desert Hand took rehab to a different level and my results speak to that.

I would strongly recommend Desert Hand for any hand problems requiring physical therapy.

Very attentive to my particular issue, and not sense of urgency with their time — made me feel as though my issue was paramount during the time I was being cared for and that there was no rush to complete my exercises.

I broke my right wrist in several places which required surgery, a metal plate and screws.
Fortunately, my orthopedic surgeon recommended Desert Hand Therapy. They have many locations and I chose the location closest to me which is on N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix AZ.

I had written a previous 5 Star review for Desert Hand Therapy when I first started physical therapy back in April and I wish I could give Desert Hand Therapy 10 stars now that I have finished my PT (early July)

From the beginning of my physical therapy sessions with Charlotte I knew she was going to be able to help me regain mobility, and flexibility in my wrist as well as in my fingers and help me regain my hand strength, which I had none, after I broke my wrist. I was impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism Charlotte showed me when I first met with her and the specific tools she used to assess my wrist, hand and fingers. These tools measured my mobility, flexibility, strength, and width of my incredibly swollen wrist. All of which were in really bad shape. I virtually could not use my right hand and wrist. ( Fortunately, I was able to move my fingers because I was not in a cast, I was in a splint).

Charlotte is the nicest, most professional, extremely knowledgeable and competent physical therapist. She’s also very encouraging without BSing you. I very much appreciated her helping me set realistic expectations during my PT sessions. Due to the specific exercises Charlotte had me do at PT (twice a week), plus ones she showed me I could do at home in between my PT sessions, I’m thrilled to say I have regained 90-95% of my mobility and flexibility back in a relatively short amount of time.
I’m certain I will be 100% in the near future. I am only stopping PT with Charlotte as I am leaving the state for a bit. I certainly will be continuing to diligently utilize all the exercise routines, strengthening and stretching exercises she mapped out for me.

I also had the pleasure of working with Charlotte’s assistant, Sedona, who was so friendly, professional and very helpful to me during my PT sessions as well.

The whole team at Desert Hand Therapy is terrific!

Charlotte clearly has a passion and a talent for what she does. I never had PT before, but this was a real game changer and an absolute necessity in order for me able to get back to my highly active life.

I am very grateful to Desert Hand Therapy and highly recommend them for PT. It’s a clean, very friendly, comfortable, environment with a wonderful staff who truly makes your goals (for your injury) their goals in helping you achieve them. Thank you for exceeding my expectations with my recovery!

I highly recommend Desert Hand Therapy.

I feel very blessed that Charlotte was assigned to me as she is such a highly competent, kind, personable, very knowledgeable and extremely talented therapist. She has a fantastic personality, and I felt an instant comfort level with her and, most importantly, a high-level of confidence in her ability to help me. She was so thorough in her explanation of what was going to take place throughout the duration of my visits: where I am today, the progress that will be made and the goals we plan to achieve throughout the duration of my therapy treatments. She took her time with me to assess where I am today
( 6 weeks out from surgery) by analyzing my fingers, hand and wrist with impressive/effective physical tests.

I am elated, relieved and highly confident in Charlotte‘s abilities and expertise to accomplish our goals in providing me the information and specific hand exercises that are necessary to achieve flexibility/mobility and strength in my hand and wrist so I can get back to my active life of playing golf, horseback riding, etc. I’ve always been an active person and never broke anything before so this is a first! As is the therapy!

I am thrilled and confident I am in tremendous hands with Charlotte!

Called to confirm they sold therapy putty and the front desk lady said they do and its $5. Later in the day went to go pick it up and the front desk lady was so rude. She would not acknowledge my mother and made her stand there while she dealt with three people that walked in after. After the lady finished, my mom asked again if she had it and the lady said she did. When my mother went to pay the lady said it has to be paid in exact cash (something that was not told to us over the phone) and that we could not pay with our $10 or card. We were going to go get change but decided we did not want to support a business with employees who treat their clients like that. The whole interaction was very upsetting and we will not be back.

I just had my last session today after 6 months of therapy. All the staff have been extremely knowledgeable and they have been taken marvelous care of me and the other patients I have seen there. My therapist Charlotte has made my sessions something to look forward to, even though it at times has hurt really bad when she has been stretching out my wrist. She has been encouraging and very involved in my progress. I have now regained almost all flexibility and mobility. Thank you.
