Yesterday was my first time going here and it was an amazing experience. The lady at the front desk Mrs. Niya was very welcoming and patient. This was the first time I scheduled and rescheduled my own appointment and she made me feel at ease because I was so embarrassed about not knowing what to do. She really felt like my mother on the way she explained how to do it not only at a dental office but also at the doctors. I would highly recommend you coming here.

I absolutely love Alabama family dental!! The staff is the best, the most sweetest people to talk to and super helpful. Amber, Dr. Whatley, Mia and the girls at the front desk are amazing. I would rather lose all my teeth than to go anywhere else.

Used Dr. Whatley for years. Absolutely loved him. He is the best dentist I've ever by far. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the way I was treated by the Office Manager when I missed an appointment because my 11 year old nephew passed away just hours before my appointment. She banned me from even calling to reschedule and refused to call me back to let me explain. When I tried to explain to the girls at the front desk when I called to speak to her, they seemed very sincerely sorry but insisted the office manager was the only person who could help me and I couldn't make an appointment until she said it was OK. I waited months, called back and still got the same response. I have never been treated with such disrespect in all my life. Before this happened, I would have recommended Alabama Family Dental hands down to anyone who asked... but now, seeing how cold hearted and cruel this woman is, I refuse. I sincerely pray that this woman never loses a family member on a day she has an appointment... if she does, I hope they show her the compassion she didn't treat me...

I truly care deeply for all of the employees and staff at Alabama Family Dental. Dr James Whatley is a perfectionist in his field. He not only epitomizes the importance of great dental work and procedures he and his staff truly care about their patients and the patient’s recovery and tolerance during the procedures performed on each patient. Alabama Family Dental is top notch in my book.

Professional atmosphere and service. Caring team that worked together and went above and beyond to make my visit to the dentist for a dental procedure a comfortable less anxiety experience. Dr. Whatley is amazing. I had some work done yesterday (6/20/24), didn't feel a thing through the whole procedure. I'm recovering faster from 8 teeth being removed by Dr. Whatley than 2 teeth from a dentist near me. That's why I drive 75 miles to see Dr. Whatley. The staff are very kind and attentive. Everyone treats you like family. Great staff and a great doctor!
