I have changed a dozen dentists in the past 25+ years and Dr Mai has been the best. He is both careful and caring, has a good judgment, spends a lot of time working on your teeth meticulously and explains the issues clearly for you. His recommendations are valid and he does not make up issues to enrich himself. The assistants are very decent and friendly. The front desk is responsive to phone calls and very helpful.

Today is my first appointment. My insurance covers regular cleaning. However, the dentist recommended a deep cleaning which the cost of 360 dollars. The dentist did the deep cleaning for about 30 minutes which is fine to me. The dentist then asked a lady to do the scaling and polishing. It took her few minutes altogether to scale and polish just a few of my teeth. For me, it was a very lousy job. I also took the advice of the dentist to get a dental guard for 280 dollars. I told the dentist I had thrown away a dental guard before because I couldn't sleep with it in my mouth. The dentist said this dental guard is different. I wait and see how it turns out.
Updated. The dental guard turned out very comfortable and I have been wearing it every night for more than a week. Thanks to Dr Mai. I changed the rating from 2 to 4 stars and hope the dentist assistant can improve and perform a decent job for everyone.
Updated. HMO patients Beware. I have Delta USA HMO insurance. This insurance covers two cleanings a year and the dr. Mai recommends to do the cleaning every 3 months. I called the office a few times to make sure my insurance cover my first cleaning before I come for the appointment. The office did not call me back until my appointment date and I was informed they can't use my insurance for the cleaning because they are in the process of cancelling HMO insurance. They suggested a discount if I can pay cash for the cleaning. I refused thinking of the lousy cleaning job before and now they want more money. Today, I try to search for a new dental office listed on Delta Dental web page and see Alicia Parkway Dental still listed to accept Delta USA HMO. I change the rating to one star.

They all are very nice and very professional. And the receptionist is always very pleasant and very good at reminding me of my upcoming appointments.
I highly recommend this dental office, Dr. Mai, the receptionist, and his staff.
And I so appreciated last year when Dr. Mai fixed my uneven and chipped front-teeth, before my high-school reunion.

Just finished my first visit with my new dentist, Dr. Mai. He was very considerate to my concerns and took the time to explain solutions to help manage my dental issues such as clenching. He was attentive to any signs of discomfort throughout my cleaning/exam and his staff was both friendly and accommodating. I'm very happy I chose Alicia Parkway Dental for my dental health!

The staff at Alicia Parkway Dental is very polite and cooperative. Dr. Juste is amazing, she explains the treatment before starting it & makes the patient feel very comfortable. She doesn't hurry with the procedure and resolves every query of the patient. Best dentist I have come across. Thank you Dr Juste & special thanks to the front desk staff of Alicia Parkway Dental.

I have been bringing my daughter to Alicia Parkway Dental for about 3 years since she was 3 years old. I was nervous to try a general dentist with our Medi-Cal coverage, but they have always taken great care of her! They have made every exam as easy as possible. They always explain the process to her every step of the way. And having the Netflix screen helps make it smooth sailing!
