We have visited this store multiple times to get assistance with releasing a phone number to be added to another AT&T account and the employees tried their best to help us however the manager had absolutely no interest in helping. On Friday 04/18/2025 we went to this store again to have a TOBR added to the account the number was leaving. We dealt with the manager of this store who stated he took care of everything for us that we just needed to then go to a corporate store to move the number. Once we got to the corporate store this past Saturday, we were informed there is a note on the account however it was not even added correctly (it was added as a general note on the account, not added to any phone number) and there was no authorization code added either to allow the number to move. We wasted so much time at this store to find out the assistance we received didn't even do anything useful. I would not recommend this store to anyone looking to work with AT&T.

No stars..totally disgusted with the service I received. Looking into other service alternatives. No one who just paid $ 1000 on a phone should be pushed aside and told they don't know how to help you, and send you to another store 1/2 hour away only to be told they can't help you. I have been an ATT customer since the beginning of cell phones and I hope I won't be anymore very soon!

They were very patient with our situation and helped my family get the new phone lines and replacement phones we needed. If they weren't sure of something, they would ask to verify so things didn't get messed up, instead of acting like they knew everything. I appreciate that.

We went for new phones. The manager ripped us off with older phones, upgraded direct tv , and internet that is not available in my area. When they set the internet up, they used a different address and phone number! Highly deceptive sales practices! ATT corporate is aware…..

I’m writing this review to warn others about the deceptive and unethical practices at the AT&T Store in Hamburg, PA, particularly by a representative named Edwin.

In July 2024, my mother and I visited the store to upgrade her phone. I’m the account holder but live out of state, so we went together while I was visiting. Edwin told us we needed to upgrade our plan in order to upgrade her phone, but reassured us the bill would be $20 less than what we were previously paying and that it would include a hotspot.

Instead, our bill shot up by $100 more per month and there was no hotspot added.

I called this AT&T store to fix the issue and was told I had to be there in person. Since I live 10 hours away, we compromised: I would be on speakerphone while my mother returned to the store. While trying to fix this Edwin admitted, “Yeah, your bill shouldn’t be that high… I’ll have to add another line to fix it. There won’t be any charges and your bill will be $120/month.”

He added a completely unused fourth line, claiming it was necessary to “fix” the issue then added that we’d need to manually remove “extras” from the account or he’d “lose his commission.” That alone should’ve been a huge red flag.

Once again, the bill came out $60 more than promised. When I visited an AT&T store near me, the representative there was immediately alarmed. He said, “That’s not right,” and pointed out multiple issues:

The plan made no sense

We’d lost our military discount

We were no longer eligible for trade-in promotions

There were much cheaper plans available

The extra line served no purpose

We’ve now been overcharged by more than $1,000 over the past year. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with AT&T and the Hamburg store, trying to resolve this. I’ve since filed a formal dispute with AT&T to address the false promises and overcharges.

This is a clear case of deceptive business practices, manipulation, and misrepresentation. Do not trust the word of representatives at this store without demanding written proof and even then, double-check your billing details.

I strongly advise avoiding this location altogether.
