I have a very serious complaint about their billing -- they refuse to take any responsibility for their own mistakes. Also, they promised 3 times to review my problem and get back to me, but they never did.
I got stuck with an extra ~$1200 in finance charges because I trusted their incorrect explanation of the finance plan. I asked them a few times "Are you absolutely sure that I won't be charged any finance charges? Because if there will ever be any finance charges, I'll just pay the entire balance off right now." After they assured me at least twice that there would be absolutely no finance charges, I signed a long legal agreement full of fine print that no one but a lawyer could understand, and only after an hour at least. But no one takes those legal agreements to a lawyer to review before signing it, right? You just ask the dental office what am I agreeing to by signing this, and then you trust their explanation and sign it, right?
But a couple years later, I discovered that they had misinformed me, and I now owed ~$1200 in finance charges in spite of them telling me that there would be NO finance charges. So I explained this to them at the dental office billing; and their response was that, since I signed the legal agreement, I was 100% responsible, and they took absolutely NO responsibility for misinforming me about what the legal agreement said. It was just like in the movie "Animal House" where one student says to another "Hey, YOU'RE the one who screwed up -- you TRUSTED me!"
Well I told them that this response was completely unacceptable, and they would have to take my complaint up to a manager to assess and get back to me. They assured me that they would do this. After several weeks went by without hearing anything about my complaint. I called them, and they had NO record of my complaint or of any manager doing anything about it!
This all happened again a second and a THIRD time!
So after several months and 3 attempts, I still hadn't made ANY progress towards getting any manager to even CONSIDER my complaint!

Update on 2/22/2025: So Beach City Dental Group responded to my review above with "If you'd be willing, we would like to discuss how we can improve at Beach City Dental Group moving forward. Please call us at 310-376-5252. We hope to hear from you soon."
So I did call them. No answer, so I left voicemail to call me back. Two weeks later now, and they never did call me back.
It's so easy for them to CLAIM that they would like to discuss how they can improve their horrible customer "service", but their lack of any effort to do so shows that they have no interest at all in this.
