I would highly recommend Dr. Lehnert to everyone. He is a skilled physician and surgeon. He explained what was wrong, the pros and cons of having surgery now versus waiting, and how the post op period would go. He is very personable and answered all of my questions.

I have been seeing Dr. Lehnert for over 20 yrs. He's taken care of all of my foot problems and continues to provide excellent service and advice. A tendon on my ankle had splayed, and was severed for quite a while. He repaired the splayed section with sutures, and reconnected the severed tendon to the ankle. I am very grateful for his expertise. I’m am now sporting an ankle without pain. I still have some healing time remaining but my ankle does not hurt while walking. Thank you!

I have had a difficult time with Dr lehnert and my care. I was given false hope and recommendations implying I was way further along my healing path than I was. This caused a delay in my healing due to his encouragement of going back to normal activities. Now after getting a second opinion, I learned at this point I cannot be going back to my typical physical activities. The second opinion is to wear the boot, which Dr. lehnert did not even recommend. I had explicitly asked him if I should wear what I thought was a boot, but turned out to be a post-operative shoe, and he said I didn't need it. Why did he not correct me at that first visit, clarifying that it's not the right boot that is needed. Also why did he not guide me to have more support to immobilize the fracture? Instead he said I would be healed in a couple of weeks fully and should go back to normal activities. At 2 months I started to resume normal activities but had a lot of pain. I visited a 2nd time at 2 months. He said another month, again without any suggestions for a supported boot. After almost 4 months I still have pain. At the second visit, he didn't bother to read my lab results and said I had osteoporosis with horror when I didn't. I could have gotten correct guidance earlier on, and possibly be healed by now. Instead I received encouragement to resume normal activities and thereby worsening the condition as the bone is moving without any time for it to heal. The lack of professionalism, care or attention to my care was laughable. Also, their billing tried to bill me for an ultrasound which I didn't even have as each visit was only 10 min long of Dr lehnert reassuring me that I was healing, and given me false hope and not enough proper specific guidance. I also saw in his medical summary of the visit, a made up ultrasound activity that didn't even happen and that my visit was 50 min long, which in fact was 10 min of incorrect guidance which is to do nothing for my foot. I do not trust Dr. Lehnert and would not recommend him as he falsified activities that did not happen and was negligent in his care, and was in fact harmful to my recovery. In fact it caused a delayed healing, and God knows if I kept going to him, I might eventually have to have surgery, which isn't it convenient that he is a foot surgeon? I am glad most people had good care from him but for some reason, he treated my case extremely negligently. Worst 'doctor' I have ever encountered.
