My son just had his initial in-person testing done by Dr. Katie Beckwith. Our experience was very positive! She was patient, she took so much time to really understand what my son was experiencing and feeling in regard to his complaints. The dr. never made us feel rushed and had such a great calming demeanor. My son compared her with the teacher Miss Honey from Matilda. At this point, we have only had the initial in person visit, so I will update my review as his treatment progresses.

I can only speak on one employee there. I had an neuropsych examination by Dr. Sarah Clark. While she followed the standards of the neuropsych examination provided nationwide, she didn't explain clearly what my results meant to help me understand my neuropsych evaluation. For example if you take a neuropsych exam from anywhere your test results will be compared to the data from "other people", when I asked her who was included, such as " all neuropsych evaluations within the country or the world or just for her facility for the newly approved model of testing" or "if my assesment was for all people in my age group(that is how we're compared)", she just couldn't give an answer saying, "it's for a certain amount of people". How may people, where are they? Are they Caltech grads or just random people, these factors mattered to me and she didn't know, showing she didn't understand the data that you'll be given when you take a neuropsych exam. Also for my test, when I asked her to clarify what certain questions meant as many psych questions are very ambiguous, she just replied in a terse manner that it "means what I just said!", refusing to expand on my questions asked either out of ignorance or even worse, selfishness. An example that I thought was ambiguous and unclear was "how have you been feeling", or "what would your rate yourself for stress for this event". How would anyone know how to rate themselves? What is the standard to which we all could compare our feelings to? I asked if there was some standard for the rating and she couldn't give me one which seemed unlikely as how could anything be a science without a standard? Even for a qualitative science.
