My daughter recently began speech therapy here, and while our first appointment went well overall, the front desk receptionist displayed unprofessional behavior. She failed to greet us or other patients, appeared disinterested, and seemed to lack basic customer service skills. Her unwillingness to engage with us created an unwelcoming atmosphere, making it clear that she did not prioritize patient care. This set a negative tone for our experience from the outset.

We had scheduled regular appointments for Mondays at 4 p.m., but we missed the second session due to illness. Despite multiple attempts to contact the office, they did not answer their phones. After the appointment, they left a voicemail stating that we had missed the session without calling and that we risked discharge.

When we showed up for the third appointment, we were removed from the schedule without any additional outreach. This decision felt abrupt and unprofessional. The therapist’s behavior during this interaction was particularly disappointing, and we ended up returning home without receiving services after a one-hour round trip. They rescheduled us for the following week but later changed the time without notifying us. When I called to clarify, they denied having made the previous appointment.

It appears they were targeting us for discharge without just cause, making it difficult to secure a consistent schedule for my daughter, despite our prior discussions about her availability in the afternoon. This level of unprofessionalism, including poor communication and a lack of consideration for our situation, is unacceptable. Additionally, when our insurance-provided transportation arrived late, the office failed to respond to our calls. Upon arrival, they falsely claimed we hadn’t called and threatened to discharge my daughter. This treatment felt discriminatory and deeply troubling.

I have no words to express my disappointment, and arguing with them seemed pointless; continuing the service in this kind of environment will not help my daughter, who struggles with autism.

Given this experience, I strongly urge the facility to assess and improve its customer service, scheduling practices, and therapist professionalism

If it were only about the therapists then I would give this place a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, every person contributes to the rating. The front desk clerk has one of the worst customer service skills I have ever seen. I went in for an initial consultation and unfortunately before arriving, I had a very horrible experience on the freeway. Immediately upon entering, she became very angry and agitated because I had not arrived 15 mins earlier even though I had made it at the appointed time. The more I tried to explain, the worst she got. This toddler attitude from a so-called professional is something they should really address. Patients look for medical services hoping to find a place where common courtesy is extended to aid in the healing process. Once again, I'd like to reiterate the difference between the quality of a therapy session I had after this unpleasant experience. I have been reading all the negative comments and they all go back to the same thing. The only response that I see given by Lula is " so sorry for your experience. We'll try to do better". Needless to say, this is not enough to make me set foot in that place again!

The therapists are good. Their scheduling system is horrendous and this is the first place I’ve ever been to that schedules patients the way they do. If you have a very medically complex child, you will have a hard time scheduling appointments here. They are not willing to work with you, especially the receptionist, Stephanie; she is extremely impatient and inconsiderate. I am extremely upset I was unable to keep working with PT Kimmy, my daughter was finally starting to warm up to her a little bit. The receptionist made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable with how rude she is. Thank you.

Lula is all around amazing! she is very knowledgeable. She is considerate and thorough when it comes to recommendations of equipment. She doesn't over or under recommend necessary equipment and explains the entire process along the way. Safety always comes first.

Yesterday a person named Stefany called me, I don't know if she is the receptionist but what a lack of professionalism when calling a patient. She started with a rude attitude at the beginning of the call, yelling at me why I didn't attend the appointment and why I didn't call them to cancel it, which I didn't attend due to a personal problem that she didn't let me explain to her because she wouldn't let me speak. She sounded frustrated but that doesn't give her the right to talk to a patient like that. I called today to cancel all my future appointments with them because I really don't want to have the same experience again. I hope that place pays attention to people's reviews and hires people who are trained to talk to people.

If I could give zero stars I would. Complete incompetence when it comes to Capuchino’s secretary. This place will drag you along all while knowing your insurance won’t cover who they are placing you with. Wasted 3 months of my daughter’s time when she could have been getting therapy elsewhere. They neglect to read pertinent information on referrals, therefore delaying scheduling. And then blames the insurance or the referring doctor. No accountability. I would stay as far away from this place as you can if you have a child who actually needs services. And it’s a shame because the office management and their disfunction doesn’t reflect how great the therapists are.

While it took some time to get all my paperwork completed before I could get scheduled for my driving eval., it was worth the wait. Lula’s testing protocol was extremely thorough, testing all aspects of cognitive and visual function needed to safely drive a car. She then evaluated my physical limitations before proceeding outside to her adapted car where she set up the basic eqipment I might need before I got behind the wheel and we went for a drive. Her approach was to see if the most basic, least expensive devices might suffice, before recommending somewhat more expensive, Bluetooth devices for me, specifically. She had her written report back to me promptly, so I can now proceed with getting a vehicle set up and driving once again. Thank you Lula and your lovely staff for helping me regain another piece of my independence.
