There are many choices for dentists in San Diego, but it’s not easy to find one with the talent, care, and professionalism of Dr. Stephanie Nguyen. My whole family has gone to her for both aesthetic and restorative treatments for many years. She runs her office with the comfort of her patients in mind, starting with a professional and friendly staff that makes you feel at ease as soon as you enter. She has a gentle approach, always explaining the procedures and often checking on your comfort level.

For me personally, I went to Dr. Nguyen for a couple of crowns that had been done by a different dentist years ago; one had just broken off, and the other was quite old and needed replacing. She got me in quickly to take care of the broken crown. Dr. Nguyen has a machine that makes crowns in-office, so often a patient can get their permanent crown on the same visit and won’t have to wear a temporary one. She took her time to craft and fit my crown perfectly while trying to save as much of my original tooth as possible. Most crowns I have had done in the past required 2 to 3 visits for adjustments because, as other dentists have repeatedly told me, I have a very unusual bite that shifts a lot, making it difficult to achieve a natural feel the first time. I came to expect multiple visits when I needed a crown. Not with Dr. Nguyen! Both times she did my crowns, they felt perfect the first time, so there was no need for adjustments.

I feel relieved to know that as my old fillings need work in the future, I can rely on Dr. Nguyen, who has the expertise and takes individual care seriously. She is also very personable and listens well to my concerns. I am also happy with the Invisalign treatment I received from her to fix my misalignment. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen, as I trust her with any dental needs for myself and my family.

As a loyal patient of Dr. Nguyen's for many years, this review is long overdue! I have nothing but positive things to say about her practice. Scheduling and parking is a breeze, her staff is warm and professional, and I can tell Dr. Nguyen genuinely cares about her patients. She is gentle, straightforward and really great at what she does. Unlike other dentists I've seen (particularly ones that are a part of larger practices), Dr. Nguyen gives me plenty of individualized attention and never pressures me into any extraneous procedures. Highly recommend Dr. Nguyen - she's a true gem!

I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. Having recently moved to San Diego, I was in search of a new dentist for a routine teeth-cleaning. Unfortunately, I was deceived by the few positive reviews.
Upon calling to schedule an appointment, I was informed that a full examination and x-rays were required, which I hadn't initially requested. After verifying with my health insurance provider and finding coverage, I reluctantly agreed. During my visit, I encountered several issues that left me thoroughly dissatisfied.
Firstly, while filling out forms, I added a statement specifying that I wouldn't accept any additional costs without prior approval in which they didn't like!!
We all know that some providers uses this form to conduct services and then bill a fortune of unexpected charges while you didn't know or agree on the cost before the services are conducted. So, first I encourage everyone not to sign a blank form for the service provider to conduct any services without preapproval of service and cost!
Second, after the x-rays, I was informed of a significant amount of necessary dental work. I requested to l seek my sister's advice first before conducting the service, who is a pediatric dentist in Texas, and get back to you. Then, when I requested a treatment plan, by their unprofessional response, suggesting I find another dental office or consult with my sister, insinuating a lack of trust on my part.
For a second, I thought I was in Kinder Garden, then realized the reality of being a mature adult! This experience falls short of the standards I expect from a dental service and I echo their response that any patient should seek a dentist who they can earn their trust, and definitely not this office.

Dr. Nguyen is our family dentist. My wife and I really like how she cares for her patients. During or procedures and cleanings, she always inquires if we are ok. She has a gentle touch and has never caused us pain...and I am pretty nervous when in a dental chair. After 2-3 visits with her...I am no longer apprehensive being there. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Nguyen.
