I recently visited this practice as a new patient, hoping to receive the fantastic service mentioned in these reviews. Upon arrival, I was greeted by welcoming staff and noticed the office was very modern, organized, and clean. I truly believed I had just walked into my new dentist's office. My visit was due to an old filing that I was looking to get a consult on. The procedures were standard: your regular X-rays and a consultation with their primary dentist, Dr. Tao. To my disappointment, during the consultation with Dr Tao, I was informed I had an alarming amount of dental work that seemed excessive and unlogical to the reason for my visit. I was taken back as he mentioned numerous cavities and deep infections (which I had no symptoms of), which could possibly be resolved with a deep cleaning but was not guaranteed. When Dr. Tao got to my primary reasoning for my visit he had suggested not to fix the filling but to remove the entire tooth and be replaced with implant. The dissapointment quickly turned into confusion after the price breakdown was given to me. In that breakdown I was told my insurnance would only cover 80% of the deep cleaning and I would be subjected to the remaing balance. I hesisted to commited to any future appointments and informed the Dr I would be seeking a second opinion. Fast forward to today, I sought to obtain a second opinion were I was surprisingly told I had none of plethra of diagnosis mentioned by Dr. Tao. I was suggested a deep cleaning which I booked and was assured my insurance cover 100% of. In regards to the tooth extraction and implant those suggestion where unecessary. In conclusion my experience in this facilty went from hopeful to realizing I was being taken advantage of. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY do your research and seek a second opinion to ensure you are not being wrongfully diagnosed and overbilled.

I was a patient at this dentist office for about 2 years and Dr. Tao wasn't a very knowledgeable dentist. He kept on saying, "you need a root canal, you need a root canal" and couldnt properly diagnose my teeth pain issues correctly. Plus they don't offer PFM crowns that my insurance covered, because of his arrogance, and the staff not properly presenting co pay fees, I had to change my dentist to a dental group that actually covers PFM crowns and properly and honestly shows me a printed co pay of fees that matched my schedule of fees from my insurance.

I've been coming to Dr. Tao for years. He and his staff are all exceptional. Warm and inviting environment, I know people get nervous going to the dentist, but you will be at ease here. This dentist is thorough and honest, they obviously care about your well being and will offer any and all methods to take care of you and make sure your teeth are healthy and that you are happy.

Carnelian family dentistry is so caring and understanding for their patients! I was nervous at first as i have alot of work to be done on my teeth, but after my first procedure i was very pleased by the way i was treated by Dr. Tao and his staff. I will be recomending this dentist to all my family and friends !! 🦷🪥

The worst customer service ever. Call regarding an estimate of the work that is being done as I wanted to know how much my insurance cover and how much out of package. Come to find out that they do not submit claims to the insurance as they only charge what the insurance does not cover (supposedly)Call my insurance company and a root canal should be 250 out of packet and they want to charge thousands of dollars. I file a grievance with the Insurance company and they suggested I request an estimated bill of their charges along with my deductible. I called and spoke to Alice (refused to give me a last name) and she was extremely belligerent. I would not recommend this place. I believe they had gotten away with this scam for to long.

Tl;dr : terrible lobby service, specialists only show up once a month so expect to wait a month to be seen.
I'll first start that this is a lesson to me. Do not continue giving business just because you don't want to be "mean" by leaving.
They used to be uncomfortable and crowded. But they have a new building. This doesn't speak for their service which has never been worse. After "waiting for a seat" for 30 minutes ,a family came with a small child. Checked in and signed their name. They were seated immediately. Upon asking why I have to wait, receptionist suggest I make an appointment at a different time "so it won't be so busy". I made the appointment a month ago so I can't predict business patterns lady. Hilarious how she tells me what time I should come, you know because no one has a life right?
Don't bother complaining, the staff doesn't make enough to care. As was made very clear when I was seated nearly an hour later.
