I’ve had the same dentist for almost 40 years, then I moved to Carlsbad. For the past several years I’ve jumped from dentist to dentist trying to find one that was a balance from wanting to redo my entire mouth to someone that recommends beat practices and listens to my goals. I finally found Dr. Comfort. He’s a great mix between helping you understand options and what’s necessary to keep my smile and dental health in perfect condition. His staff is wonderful and make you feel like part of their family. He’s accommodating to a working person’s schedule and extremely flexible. His knowledge of the industry and what’s new is amazing. My son now has a special appliance specifically for grinding his teeth and his headaches have disappeared. We were going to several sinus docs for treatment and this device has helped tremendously. His dental hygienist Stacy is the absolute best. I mean it. She is terrific. My teeth shine when I leave the office. The amount of time she takes to meticulously clean every fraction of your tooth is amazing. I’m so happy I found this office, these professional people.

I had the greatest dental experience ever at Dr. Comfort’s office. My teeth were cleaned by Dr. Comfort’s wife, Stacy, who was gentle and extremely thorough! Dr. Comfort’s credentials and experience in cosmetic dentistry far surpassed any other dentist I had researched in Southern California area. I’m finally so happy after having Dr. Comfort redo my smile!

If I could give this dentist 0 (zero) stars... I would. He did over $10,000 of work in my mouth and I am very unhappy. All I can say is keep good records and don’t be fooled by a friendly atmosphere. Be sure you are covered by your insurance and if you have questions about the work done, ask them!! You have rights call the A.D.A. if necessary. I tried to go through the courts to get my money back and have another dentist fix it. He fought me like a pit bull with a high powered attorney. The ADA needs cases in order to help me and possibly you. No one will speak against him because his cash paying clients fear for loss of citizenship. He knows it. He scalped me for a night guard. My mother’s insurance paid $500 for the same exact process and night guard he charged my $1,000 cash for mine. I found this out during the court case when comparing receipts with my mother’s receipts. I have receipts and the court case I put against him IS public. FYI

UPDATE late 2021: I’m still in a tremendous pain and will have to have most of Dr. Comfort’s work redone. I cannot bite down. We are talking thousands of dollars here. Just consider that...

2022 update: I have to have all his work redone! He never fixed the issue. Only made it worse….

2023 update: Today, I had Dr. Comfort’s crown fall out again (4 times he glued it with out of date glue while I was his patient). Hopefully, the fifth time is the final time it will come off.

Update March 2023: My porcelain crown that cost over $10,000 in work and install at Dr. Comfort’s has cracked in half! Just as another dentist predicted. I have to have it ground off and another completely created. This is going to be thousands of dollars for me to FIX the intentional terrible work of Dr. Comfort! I am ashamed of him. He has 3 or 4 accolades after his name on his door. He claims to be the best in his field and he claims to be superior. Yet… because I was a cash, paying customer he screwed me over and there was nothing I could do to stop it so the work was completed once it started. I trusted him. I liked him. He’s very personable. We cracked jokes together. I’m sure he doesn’t do this to every customer but I surely got the short end of the stick. Also, The crown that fell off 3 weeks ago has stayed on after the other dentist placed it in. You have been warned.

Really an amazing dentist experience . I had my first filling done here with Stacy and doctor Comfort and they made it an enjoyable , peaceful and pain free experience! They really put me at ease and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist .

Beautiful new dental office and a great staff. The dentist has another location up by Mammoth and this is a great option in Encinitas.
