Chip and Tar one of the busiest roads in Colorado Springs?

I cracked my windshield way before any drive slow sign (going way under the limit.) were present and the fact this form of construction in this area was even approved is insane.

Wanted to thank Kennoth at the Quail Lake VIN Inspection area at this location for being helpful, professional and just a nice guy. I’ve been here to get salvage titles processed and my XR650L dirt bike street legal. Never an issue and they make the process easy. Thanks!!
.
A note to CDOT while I’m in here- PLEASE STOP contracting ‘AA Construction’ for the city road and sidewalk work. They are terrible! Never have the appropriate signage so they always cause more traffic congestion than necessary. They also treat citizens disrespectfully. I appreciate very much the road work being done as the city needs it, but please, pretty please, contract a different company.

El Paso County DOT is supposed to repair roads not destroy them. The stretch of road between Indian Village and Via Feliz was turned into a big muddy puddle. Perhaps they are using apprentices who don't know how to crown the road for runoff when it rains. Road was great for years until last year!

I appreciate the progress on I25. It's such a huge project, too. I hope drivers stay alert when it goes to two lanes and no shoulders. Can't wait to see it when it's done.
Shout out to the snow plows working in the wee hours of the morning to clear and salt before the morning commute. I see you!
The traffic cameras are really helpful. I sent a link to coworkers.

If i could give no stars, i would. Absolutely atrocious the way our roads are maintained. And having 35 mile detours! Randomly, FOR 3 HOURS IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR! Broken guard rails keeping a lane down just for a short distance but enough to cause major choke ups on busy streets for the last 6 months. Pot holes. There isnt a street without them.

I travel often across the country.
Colorado has the worst roads of any state. It has to be the most poorly run government operation in American history.I have never seen such shoddy work.

I was having trouble contacting ExpressToll to discuss a bill. Despite not being in the purview of CDOT Jessica was extremely helpful in suggesting options and ensured that I could call her again and she would help further if those options did not help. I wish every government agent had your attitude towards helping people.
