This is a reluctant 2 stars. Dr. Sapire seemed out of touch. He interrupted me several times on three phone calls and in our first (and only), couples counseling. He asked questions, and as I answered, he interrupted and jumped to conclusions before either of us could finish. One of the reasons I chose him was my wife does the exact same thing. In almost every instance she has to retract her statements to me. Dr. Sapire also had to retract his statements (more than once in a 50 minute session!). He spoke without thinking. A bad trait for a therapist. I have experience with therapy. The first meeting is considered a "gathering of information" and "getting to know each other". Seldom do new therapists offer solutions or advice until, at least, the second or third meeting. He is the first therapist I have ever met to jump right in with advice. Which is why he failed the audition. And he failed pretty badly. I would caution anyone that is considering Dr. Sapire as a therapist to absorb the information above.
He seemed nice at first, but something switched inside and he became too assertive. He is definitely not what his reviews claim. He is not patient nor does he stop and think before making questions or comments before speaking. He may help lesser experienced clients, but he failed us.
Approach with extreme caution.

Dr. Sapire really helped me a great deal. I found him to be very empathetic, kind and considerate, and also a highly professional and knowledgeable Psychologist. He goes above and beyond to help his patients to live a healthy and productive life while helping them to overcome issues that have troubled them. I give him 5 Stars without hesitation.

Dr. Sapire is an excellent, kind and compassionate therapist. His knowledgeable experience was very beneficial to me and I am keeping his number if I need to see him again. The only reason I stopped was the driving distance. I felt safe with Dr. Sapire and I knew he had my best interest in mind which is a rare, valuable quality these days. I highly recommend him.

I was reluctant to seek help but Dr. Sapire has truly been a blessing in disguise and continues to help me work though many of my life's challenges without me feeling judged. He is professional, genuine, likable and well versed in his profession. We need more people like him.

Dr Sapire was willing & able to see me on very short notice and was extremely helpful. He is very experienced and his assessment skills allow him to communicate very effectively which , in my case, gave me the guidance and hopefulness that I needed to start to address my situation. Dr sapire is the very best in his field. He has been so instrumental in my life. From the very beginning he’s been amazingly helpful with some very complicated issues in my life. He’s kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I have had many experiences with other therapists who just listen and not give much feedback, whereas Dr sapire has been very engaging. He takes lead in our sessions which have given me hope. Hope in that if I do the work he gives me I can come through to a very happy life. I’m so happy I found him! my life is changing effectively for the better week by week.
