What I can say is that my experience at Dental Source of Sacramento in Carmichael was AWESOME AND SOME!!! Dr. Mantena and his team managed to make my experience of dentures and all that comes with them a breeze, I experienced no discomfort and the initial fit-up has been spot-on. If I could, I would do the entire thing again. This is the only dental practice that I have ever liked, heck who am I kidding, I love them. This 5 star deal is weak, they get 11 from this guy.

If it could be less the one I would give it. Went for an exstraction of my wisdom tooth. It was rough and fast. But I chopped it up to pulling the tooth despite the reviews. After the extraction no post op appointment to review any concerns I had to reach out tho the 9th street location for this, which really didn’t anything positive except that now the adjacent tooth was infected and had a little lift to it with a bump on my gum so. Obvious damage from the extraction as this tooth was fine before. Recommendation from 9th St as a result of this work: Schedule a root canal due to infected tooth at this same location. This is crazy, I am referred back to the same place that did the damage in the first place. NO THANK YOU. …Not to mention that exrays are done and billed upper and lower separately. No other dentist I had did this. The result….It uses up your paid insurance visits. Swapping Dentist to Midtown…should have did this in the first place. Now I’m on a waiting list to get this tooth checked to avoid any additional complications with these guys. I should have trusted the reviews. Do your self a favor and swipe NEXT.

I went to this place from 2009-2012. Every thing this dentist office did was not good. Every tooth they worked on has gone bad and had to be pulled with in 3 years of the work done. The full cavity was not not cleared away before filling it. On 3 teeth that was worked on the dentist damaged the teeth next to the tooth that was worked on resulting in loosing that tooth as well. The dentist worked on my teeth was a Russian guy. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I contacted them when I started having issues with the work that had been done. They said I don’t have I shan’t more and they DO NOT GUARANTEE their work.

Was happy to initially get good customer service over the phone. Went in, got a $50 gift card to Raleys for being a new patient. The staff had issues with the X-ray machine. I had trouble with the bite wings so they had me come in the next day for a panoramic X-ray. I did that. The dental assistant was not kind. She even hit me in the chin with the machine after I let her know it was too high for me to rest my chin on. Then she didn't apologize. At that point I told her in a stern voice to either be nice or get someone else. I let them all know I had anxiety problems with dental visits. Then the dentist sees me for 30 seconds and looks at my X-ray with me. He says I need a referral to an oral surgeon and that I need general anesthesia as my wisdom tooth was in the jawbone and most likely causing all the pain. He never looked in my mouth. That was it. So I call the oral surgeon office nearby and got an appointment almost 2 weeks away. Still in pain and taking over the counter meds. They gave me nothing for the pain. Then I call yesterday and today about the pain and if I could get a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds. They said I had to ask the oral surgeon office. I called Capitol Oral Surgery and they say 'we don't do that' and that I have to contact my dentist. I call back to DentalSource and they don't even answer the phone. Really poor experience so far. Lenny is cool. Dentist was ok. Marisol the manager seemed to just want to get off the phone and get rid of me. This was a union referral. Pretty unhappy at this point and I am still in pain and probably need pain meds and antibiotics. I got some antibiotics from Kaiser a week prior but all gone. Is this good dental care?! The Eastern European dental assistant was not professional. Hopefully someone from that office that cares reads this and contacts me. Wish me luck. *Update they just called me back and the dentist called in a prescription for pain and antibiotics. I thanked them. 1 day at a time. Update: So I went to the oral surgeon today and learned that not only do I not need oral surgery but I have 2 cavities and my pain isn't coming from my wisdom tooth buried in my jawbone beneath the gum line! I knew something was wrong when the dentist didn't even look in my mouth. Shame on them! Terrible! So after getting a new referral to a different dentist office I will never be going back to DentalSource. Considering filing an official complaint to Delta Dental and the ADA. Not happy.

I will be reporting this location. If I could give no stars I would. I had the WORST experience here. My Union referred me to this place. The dentist didn't tell me what he was doing and seemed annoyed that I had questions. I let them know I have anxiety. They didn't care. The MA made a rude comment "wow your freaking out!"
With hands and tools in my mouth I said "UHUH!!!"
They were not gentle with me one bit. They seemed to want to hurry and just be done with me... As they went to pull my tooth I panicked because it still hurt and the MA shouted at me to not put my hands up! The doctor said he used a lot of the local anesthetic. The kind they use always makes me very shakey and makes my anxiety worse. I tense up and I become more anxious. I let them know this... they didn't say anything. They kept telling me to keep my mouth open as they were stitching up the hole after. My jaw was shaking and I couldn't really do it well. My mouth had been opened without assistance for like 15-20 minutes straight. My jaw still hurts.
I am so traumatized by my experience. I went back after the local anesthetic wore off and I was in tears in pain and the bleeding hadnt stopped. They looked at me like I was crazy because I was crying. I said I'm in so much pain and I feel like my BP is low and my BPM was 60! They didn't check after I told then my BP was low. They didn't check my BPM after I told them it was low. I told them I felt like I was going to pass out. I was hyperventilating and crying because they went to just change out my gauze and I said "it's been 3 hours since my tooth was pulled how am I suppose to eat with gauze in my mouth?" They didn't look to see if I was still bleeding or anything. They gave me 4 Advil and a protein drink.
I said "I'm sorry I feel like im going to pass out but It could just be from a panic attack and low blood sugar"
They just looked at me in awe like they never seen a grown woman cry.
SOOO traumatizing. Made me feel like I was a basket case. Ignored my feelings.
I called today asking to quit the antibiotics they gave since they make me sick to my stomach and I have work... they said I have to complete the course... I guess I'll just have to feel sick at work. Fun.

I have been coming to this Dental Source office through the past year. They really care about you here. They will work with you on payments and they always charge a little cheaper than a normal dentist that has their own business. Dr. Mantina is a very smart doctor he has done tons of work on me. He always lets me know exactly what he's doing at all times and he's very patient with his patients. Thanks to his expertise I had a second chance to save my upper teeth that other dentist that I seen had no knowledge of fixing like doctor mantina. I definitely recommend for anyone to come to the Marconi office to get very good treatment in a very clean atmosphere.

Had a great experience with the staff. I was however bummed that they are not working with the union members like they use to. I might return, but I will say I will be looking for another location one who work with the union members and the subsidies in or co payments. I will let me union members know about the new way they are doing things.

Been going here since I was a kid came back as an adult for wisdom teeth removal, they did an amazing job. Everyone else wanted to put me under for thousands of dollars.. Here they did it for much cheaper without knocking me out. I need to go back soon...
