Most of us, if given the choice, would likely prefer licking a hot air fryer over going to the dentist. Amirite?

So I was pleasantly surprised when I found my way to Downtown Phoenix Dental.

It’s located in the Monroe building, has ample parking directly under the office, a swanky lobby, and all the latest hi-tech gizmos and gadgets that guarantee healthier teeth and gums.

I was in between insurance coverage so I asked for a cash price for an exam, x-rays, and deep cleaning, and they were able to keep costs within my budget.

Dr. Saif, Daniel, and Audra made my first visit to DPD a very warm and friendly one.

And the best part? I’ll never again have to choose between licking my hot air fryer or going the dentist. YAY!

Had a lovely teeth cleaning and my experience with the different owners and dentists and various staff over the years has been great. But today, the person that polished and flossed my teeth was HORRIBLE I almost got out of the chair and walked out. I was just here not long ago for a filling and had a great experience with the team members that day. Every team member was easy, fast, gentle, talented, knowledgeable. But today, that last part of the cleaning after the hygenist was done.... really ruined the experience.

The office itself is beautiful, and the reviews seemed promising. After booking a cleaning appointment, I arrived and was greeted by the receptionist, who told me she’d be with me shortly, so I took a seat. The dental hygienist soon called my name, but when I mentioned I hadn’t received the new patient forms, he walked me back to the waiting room to fill them out.

Once I was in the chair, after having X-rays and the cleaning done, they told me they couldn’t find my insurance information. I was certain I was covered, so I had to walk to the front desk to straighten things out before the dentist came in to review my teeth. While I was there, I also asked about my orthodontic coverage, only to be told that my plan doesn’t cover it.

I left the office in tears. My smile is important to me, and being told I needed to pay $5,000 for orthodontics—when my plan actually covers part of the cost—was extremely frustrating.

Today, I had an appointment for a filling, but my gut told me something wasn’t right, so I called to ask about my orthodontic coverage again. The receptionist initially told me that the system showed no coverage, but after I insisted she double-check, she found that my insurance actually does cover orthodontics.

After all this back and forth, I called to cancel my appointment. When something as simple as verifying coverage can be mishandled so badly, I can’t trust them with my dental care.

I had an amazing dental experience with Audra. She was very engaging, extremely knowledgeable and instantly, we shared a considerable amount about family and careers. Audra provided amazing service and answered every question I had. Dr. Ghanem then followed up and provided a very personal experience as well. He was able to give me detailed insight on all my inquires. I can't recommend this dentistry enough!

Seriously the best dentist in town. I’ve been coming here for about 12 years now and always have a great experience. The office is beautiful, Dr. Drew and everyone on the team is so friendly and personable and genuinely cares about you. In addition to regular dentistry I also got the Halo Veneers Dr. Drew is famous for done and am obsessed with how good they look and how simple the process was. I can’t recommend them enough!

I had an appointment with Audra and she was so patient, kind and professional when it came to my cleaning. I have always found it really hard to find dental offices that are thorough and patient, (when in the back of my head past dental trauma boils) so I’m very thankful for the staff at downtown phoenix dental! 10/10 recommend!

I used to love this place. I’ve been visiting downtown dental for over 6 years. My most recent visit left me with a bad taste in my mouth. There was a new hygienist (I believe her name is Phyllis or something like that) that diagnosed me for a deep cleaning, this cleaning would be several hundred dollars out of pocket. Additionally, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Long story short this whole visit felt off and even the new dentist gave me a bad feeling. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they said a regular cleaning was fine. I won’t be going back, it feels like the new doc is really trying to squeeze profits out of this once-trustworthy practice.

One word- “Amazing”! I’m very particular about my teeth, which is why I haven’t been to a new dentist since moving, and I’m so happy that a friend referred me to this office. The entire team is amazing, from front office to clinical staff. Audra was able to perform my cleaning so thoroughly, yet with very little pain, which I attribute to the inflammation in my gums. Dr. S was very pleasant and took the time to explain when I needed more detail. They are out of network(although my insurance covered the preventative care), I will happily pay out-of-pocket going forward to ensure that I’ll continue to receive this level of care.
