Steve and his team are wonderful. I had a total knee replacement and began my physical therapy merely four days post surgery, and have to say that as much work as I had to recover, Steve and Johnny were there encouraging and supporting every step of my journey.

Making my appointments was simple and they have ample free parking right behind their building. They have a vast array of equipment, from weights to bands to various machines.

Very comfortable environment, great therapists certainly help in the recovery. I highly recommend Downtown Physical Therapy to anyone seeking a great team who really listens and responds.

This office is Bilingual for those of you with an elderly parent -BOOM! It's located in the old Sigh High chop suey building -central Phoenix. Jose, the front office assistant was a charm! Steve the PT was informative and very professional. Excellent experience overall.

Today is my last day at Downtown Physical Therapy after three months of 3x a week visits. I’d come in to treat intense 8/9 level pain from a pinched sciatic nerve that caused pain when sitting, standing, and rolling over in bed.

Steve, the owner, was warm and friendly from the get go and was consistently this way. He explained my therapy steps kindly and politely and with much wisdom.

After the first couple sessions, I began to work with Johnny. Like Steve, he was professional and kind. He’d stretch me in various ways. This helped so much.

Sarai was the technical assistant and she was also polite and helpful, always looking for ways to help patients and prepare machines for us just before we needed them.

Brandon was a late addition to my time here. He brought some new stretches to the mix and was helpful in educating me about my therapy questions.

By the third week, my lower back pain had dropped from 8/9 to 5/6. A few weeks later, it was down another point. This trend continued and by two months in the pain was down to 1/2. Today, I’m leaving here have been at 0/0.5 pain. My workout routine is now a habit and I’ve joined a nearby gym to continue my healthy lifestyle.

Some perks beyond the genuine camaraderie and physical health improvements:

* The music played is a mix of mostly 1970’s pop and rock with a dash of 60’s and 80’s. I don’t really listen to this kind of music, so it made the room nostalgic and unique.

* On your first and every visit after, they hook you up to an electric stimulation machine for 15 minutes. Little pads were placed on my lower back. Felt so good and I always looked forward to it.

Over the past 40 years and eight surgeries, I’ve worked to ease my pain and heal with many therapists and practices. Downtown-PT stands out in several ways: There’s a calm competence and a spirit of thoughtful enthusiasm that begins when you’re recognized by name as you walk through the door. Patients and employees alike are treated with respect and genuine care. The fixtures and equipment are wiped down after every use and everybody pitches in at every task. Steve and his crew seem to always be in motion but not in a hurry. They’re thorough and precise but don’t waste time on pettiness. If I need therapy in the future, I know where I’ll be going.

I went to downtown physical therapy because I was having wrist issues like not being able to open a tight jar or properly executing a push up. From the minute I entered the building I was greeted by a friendly staff and all my needs were accommodated. I was asked what my goals were and was given a routine to centered around my goals. Throughout the process the staff was always really helpful in explaining the routines and in the end I was able to accomplish my goals and regain my wrist mobility. 6/5 would recommend Steven and his staff for your PT needs!
