I’ve been coming to see Dr. Yige Zhao for a couple years now. I have good insurance coverage with Delta Dental so I haven’t had to spend too much. I would say I get charged about the same as my previous dentists. Dr. Zhao is really nice and personable. She’s not super aggressive with her cleaning and makes it almost pain free so I thank her for that. I wish they would chill a bit before sending your name to a debt collector. I was waiting for a lost check to pay the office and saw they had sent a debt collector after me. I didn’t like that.

I have so many good things to say about Dr. Zhao. I have been terrified of the dentist my entire life. I spent most of my life living on the East Coast so I had no idea who to trust as my dentist when I moved to San Diego. I was seeing a Dentist who was trying to charge me for things that my insurance said they had never heard of. Needless to say I found Dr. Zhao and at my first visit I was so
nervous I couldn't even look at her because of my fear and anxiety of the dentist. She talked me through the entire visit and everything she was going to do. Dr. Zhao is kind, caring, gentle, knowledgeable and understanding of my fear. The next visit I had with her she told me how much better I did. She told me that I was able to look at her more and make it through the appointment with so little stress compared to my first visit. I love her down to earth personality and her kindness that hasn't stopped throughout the several years that I have been seeing her. Dr. Zhao definitely gets to know her patients one on one and makes their experience pleasant. She knows I love cats and she talks about them with me all the time. She answers any questions I have before doing any procedure. She will even answer a question or make me more comfortable even while doing the procedure. I have never been happier with a dentist in my life. If your looking for a new Dentist, Dr. Zhao is definitely the perfect fit!

Dr. Zhao is a wonderful dentist! I really appreciate how gentle she is with my dental anxiety, and how she takes care to make me comfortable during the appointment. The office is clean & modern, the staff are kind, and I’m grateful to have a place I will want to keep coming back.

The first visit to this dentist, I just wanted to do a simple regular teeth cleaning. she tried to sell me a lot of expensive services, and use up all my insurance limits ($6000) at one time!
She will ask you to sign an agreement like the one in the photo:
1. you have to agree to pay thousands of dollars no matter your insurance covers or not.
2. you have to agree that you are aware that those treatments might be optional/not necessary, and not covered by your insurance, and you will be fully responsible for the treatments she listed, pay all the fees out of your pocket!
Once you refuse to any of the listed expensive treatments, she will immediately ask you to leave the office, and refuse to give you any simple treatment like cleaning the teeth!
Do not go to this dental office!!!!!!!!!!!

First they overcharge and try to get more than what is needed. I had the same x-rays sent to another dentist, and it was agreed that I do not need a crown. It's just an old filling that needs to be redone. And included that my other two fillings need to be redone, they're old. Likewise, I just need a teeth cleaning, not the deep clean. This place quoted me at $2,000 after insurance, versus $100 at the new place. On top of that, their customer service is horrible as well. I do not leave reviews, but this required one. Stay away and find somewhere else!

Although she was very kind and professional, like the others, they tried to tell me I needed $15,000 + of dental work. I literally walked out before they can catch me. What I hate the most is when they try to upsell something at a vulnerable time.
