Very sketchy place - they keep highly rated doctors that haven't worked for them for years posted on Psychology Today and no one updates the records to help snag new clients and try to get people to think they have psychiatrists available to their clients - THEY DO NOT HAVE PSYCHIATRISTS at this facility or available to their patients. They do not have their staff represented on their website, as they don't want to promote current doctors or medical staff they are actually using. They scheduled psychiatric testing and forgot they didn't schedule enough sessions to complete it and never follow up with test results or tell the client. We had to call weeks later to ask about test results then were told, you never finished the tests - which they scheduled and told us were complete. One scheduler also told us on the phone that "psychologists and psychiatrists are basically the same thing". After doing advanced psychiatric testing, we were referred to only a physician's assistant who told us he "doesn't get hung up on a diagnosis" when treating patients, and he wasn't going to fully read the 30 page psych evaluation we had available before prescribing meds and treatement - then we googled his name and found out he lost his physician's assistant license for 7 years over a sex crime that was a felony he committed on a 22 year old when he was 41 and a practicing physician's assistant - eventually reduced to a charge of "holding a person against their will" - this physician's assistant is now on staff at this place and they are telling clients he has "16 years of experience" - that they would employ a mental health professional with this track record is terrifying and unprofessional, go elsewhere for your mental health needs, this place is a very scary place that does things in ways no a mental health facility ever should.

Neuro feedback: My experience here really helped me stay more relaxed and more calm and the people that worked with me were amazing.

Therapy: My experience with Dr. Mary really helped my learn new techniques and showed me how to be really relaxed and always answered my questions. Compared to when I first saw her, I was nervous and shaking and now I walk in calm and relaxed.

My two daughters have been doing Neuro feedback at Family Psychological Services for the past several months. I have been so happy with the progress I have seen in both of my kids. The Neuro staff is professional, knowledgeable and has been great with checking in with me on the progress of my girls. And the front desk staff has been wonderful too. All the staff at the front has been helpful, but Brooke has definitely been a stand-out! She goes above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care for all of my appointments and more. I really appreciate her positive attitude and warm disposition. I highly recommend Family Psychological Services.

Wow, there is a God and he’s answered my prayers!!!

I have suffered two back to back miscarriages and both were horrible for different reasons.

It’s heartbreaking to say the least and I found myself very sad & I couldn’t focus on much.

My first loss had turned into a very rare thing called a molar gestation pregnancy and bcuz my hcg levels didn’t go down right away they had to monitor me because the mass can turn into a cancerous tumor.

It was traumatizing on all accounts ! But once they cleared me of cancer they said I had to wait a year to try again or it (molar gestation) would likely happen again.

After that, I developed health anxiety, sadness, ptsd & bouts of sleeplessness. I often thought, “What if we get pregnant again and this happens to me again!?”

A year had passed and We got the okay from our physicians to try again and last year we got pregnant again but our second baby didn’t grow past 7 weeks when I was supposed to be 9 weeks.

While it wasn’t a molar gestation pregnancy it still left me sad, my hormones all over the place once again, hard to focus, feeling like a failure, hard to sleep & hard to be calm.

A friend of mine was in a bad car accident and told me how wonderful Neurofeedback was for her focus, ptsd, anxiety etc

I decided to give it a try even though deep down I didn’t believe it would help me all that much.

When I first went in for testing I couldn’t even focus and scored lower on a lot of the tests.
My losses are still hard for me to talk about & in some ways I relive the pain when I talk about it so I just kept it basic with Dr Barris & just shared that I had ADHD. I didn’t go into why I had a case of the empties, poor focus, health anxiety, sleepless nights etc

Dr Barris was a bit shocked by my low scores but I wasn’t!

I was heart broken & traumatized for what I had experienced this past couple years.

That’s when it all changed for the better!

When I started Neurofeedback Daniel noticed that I was using my phone during the session and told me how counter intuitive that was. He was wonderful and made sure I put my phone to the side to get the most out of it.

Daniel and Dr Barris also explained Why Sue had developed Neurofeedback approx 40 years ago.

She was a mother wanting to help her son who had seizures. I could relate to wanting to do anything for the health of a child.

Then, Daniel expressed that it can help me write more clearly, something I never knew Neurofeedback could do!

Every time I’d come in he’d suggest something wonderful to watch and it kept me engaged.

Dr Barris and Daniel would check on me and ask how I felt and ask if I needed anything.

I felt so heard and seen by these two wonderful men that had no idea of my sadness, lack of focus etc they just wanted to know it was helping me.

I’ll never forget how all the sudden I was back to reading without Having to re read paragraphs. My focus was becoming so
Acute again, I also noticed how calm I started to feel.

After my losses, I developed anxiety before my periods but that was gone too!

Additionally, I was getting better quality sleep! They say When we sleep we heal and finally I was starting to feel the healing take place.

I started to feel myself again… before my losses.

When they added an electrode to the area of the brain for fine motor skills, my writing became more legible within 24 hours. I could have never imagined it would work that fast!

Week after week I’d come in gushing about my incredible results...

If I’m dreaming, please don’t wake me up…. I finally feel like myself again.

I’m Focused, I’m calm, I’m sleeping like a log, my writing is Clear & most importantly I’m Happy!

Thank you a Billion times over to the two men that have made the most remarkable difference in my life thus far- Daniel & Dr Barris !
