My experience here was terrible. I went in for an injury. I was worried it might be a broken bone or at best turf toe, a severe big toe sprain.

The office was really strange, very pieced together and felt like they had just moved in and weren't done furnishing. The receptionist was nice and did a great job with the xrays. However another doctor noted they mispelled my name in the medical files when I went to get a second opinion.

Dr. Dupont was rude, he interrupted me and wouldn't let me explain my injury or symptoms. He was rough with the injury, moving the toe to its limits without warning. Creating more pain to an already swollen foot. This alone made me want to write a warning.

The only explanation I can come up with for his wold diagnosis is he mixed up my xray with someone elses. I had a second and third opinion and they were surprised to hear he thought I had arthritis when nothing was showing on my xrays to support that.

Dr. Dupont 5 minutes in the room with me. 90% of that he was trying to upsell me on products such as nail treatments and inserts. He tried to prescribe me pain medication numerous times. Even after I declined three times, he kept offering.

Do doctors get a kickback for prescriptions? Because why else would he push so hard for me to take medication I didn't want.

Overall I felt like I was being scammed. It was a waste of time and money. Most of all it didn't help me heal.

Has anyone else had something like this happen?

The staff were very nice and welcoming. All I can say is I went in with foot pain and within 3 days of treatment I was pain free( just like Dr. DuPont told me)and remain so 3 months later.

Dr Dupont and his office assistant Yaya are truly wonderful!!! I’ve had a bad pain in my right foot and Yaya was able to get me an appt quickly. Dr Dupont diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis, gave me a steroid injection to lessen the pain and speed the healing. He also showed me some exercises I need to do and sent me home with a perfect pair of insoles - my foot felt better right away, and the insoles are the best I’ve ever tried. His bedside manner is warm and caring, he takes time to explain everything, his office is nice & modern, and has a huge underground parking (which is the first underground garage I’ve seen in Sonoma). Overall, I’m very happy with my experience and based on my visit, I’d highly recommend Dr Dupont and his practice (Golden Gate Foot and Ankle).

The Very efficient and professional staff is kind, welcoming and very helpful. Dr. Dupont treats you as a valued customer, as he is extremely though, asking all the right questions, with easy to understand answers. He is committed to explaining what, why, and how long each step of his treatment will take and its part in the total treatment.

A visit to Dr DuPont’s is an Excellent experience by an excellent practitioner with a terrific staff.

I walked into his office fighting back tears because my feet were hurting me so terribly, every step had become an effort. By the time I left his office 30 minutes later, the pain that had bothered me for years had been resolved and has not returned. Within minutes of looking at the issues with my feet, Dr. Dupont accurately diagnosed, treated and bandaged the painful spots that I had been dealing with. My primary care Dr had treated me, but without any success and my dermatologist completely misdiagnosed, offering no support. This left me extremely discouraged and I struggled for many months before discovering Dr. Dupont.

He is so kind and compassionate, doing what he loves for work, it resonates throughout the office, with his warm, welcoming and extremely helpful front desk staff. I've been a patient of Dr. Dupont's since he began his practice here in Sonoma at Golden Gate Foot & Ankle on 1st St W. I had bunion surgery on my left foot and it went beautifully. He is professional, pleasant, and very responsive to discuss any concerns with my feet and ankles. His office personnel are so good at working with you on your appointments (which I've needed to get in sooner a couple of times), and treat their patients with great respect. Dr. Dupont was very helpful with my recent foot pain due to a probable neuroma. I went in to the office having a lot of difficulty walking because of the foot pain and left pain free after treatment. He was good at explaining why I had the condition, options and treatment. He is professional and friendly.
