I started physical therapy with not much hope. I was assigned to a therapist. So we started with exercises. Ok. Normal. I noticed how quickly she started giving great advice. She kept asking very technical and specific questions about exactly where it hurt. She wanted to see the MRIs. She started talking about so much technical thing i couldnt keep up. She wasnt trying to impress me, she was letting me know EXACTLY what was causing x pain and what nerve is causing it. I started thinking that this person is waaaay more knowledgable about every muscle and nerve than what i pictured a regular PT to know about. No offense to any PT out there and maybe im wrong about other PTs. No offense. She is not trying to impress anyone with her knowledge, but it is just obvious if you are the type to ask questions like me. Her knowledge and attention to details let me know this was a very different place.

This is what got me. I had an MRI on my back. The MRI didn't show much. But i kept telling her its at L4 (after she kept probing till we found THE spot. Thats where the pain is and i dont care what the mri says. She jumped on it. Gave me 4 exercises to do.

So fast forward a month into it. Its working. An app she provides walks me through the daily exercises. She doesnt go through the motions when im there. She LISTENS and wants to get me better, not to just keep me coming back every week forever. She wants to teach me how to get healed. Wow. Very special person.

So i eventually found out this little lady is actually the owner. She never revealed that little nugget, and she never bragged about or even mentioned she has her Doctorate degree. All she did was simply help me. No ego, just a caring person trying to help. Shes different. Im sold. Go to them.Do the exercises at home.

I have had surgeries before but never wanted physical therapy because i thought it was kind of like stuff i could do at home. I was incorrect. This place really made me feel good about it and even eased my social anxiety about being around people i don’t know.

I came to Hometown Ortho having some hip pain. Kimberlyn really listened to where I said I was feeling pain and what my goals of physical therapy were. She took the time to help pinpoint what was causing the pain and made a plan for me to strengthen those muscles up over time. She worked to help me be able to resume my normal daily activities and workout routine without pain. The atmosphere is so welcoming as well! So thankful I was able to come here!
