Cliff notes: Dr King is fine, barely spent more than 10 minutes with me. It’s the front office that’s a joke.

Long explanation: I was referred by my primary to Dr. King’s office in October 2023, and was not able to schedule an appointment until beginning of December- that was the earliest! When I finally got the appointment, Dr. King saw me for no more than 10 minutes and told me that I needed an MRI on my toes, one foot was worse than the other, but wanted both scanned.He was recommending surgery. I was told to wait for a call For the referral to be able to call the imaging facility. With the holidays I let it go until the beginning of January. When I called back, Sara in the referral dept Bluntly told me that I needed to wait for IEHP to contact me. (Keep in mind it has now been about six weeks since my appointment.) Lo and behold later that day I get a call from the imaging Facility to schedule my MRI, And they proceeded to tell me it is only for 1 foot. I called the office back and have them check into it. Of course, more waiting. Then I get a call from the imaging facility again this time they have both feet and they also have an order to scan my knees. Dr. King is a podiatrist, not an orthopedist and I have nothing in the works about my knees with ANY doctor. Four times on the phone with the imaging company to get them to remove the order on my knees! I finally get the MRI scheduled for January 24 And that day I get a phone call from the imaging facility saying that the order is for with contrast and they don’t do contrast at 5:30 PM which is when my appointment was and that they need to get the approval for the contrast Because it wasn’t sent in from the Doctors office. I called the doctors office back and speak with Sara again And tell her that I do not have an order for my knees, and why was the contrast scheduled in the first place since Dr King never said a word about it in the first place. Then I was told that she would have to get IEHP to approve this, so, more waiting. At this point, given her lack of follow-through, There is absolutely no way I will deal with this office any longer. I was expecting to have surgery on my feet, and at this point I Do not feel confident in their ability to follow through with any care, especially after surgery. I have called my primary care doctor to get a new referral and start this process all over again, hopefully with a more Competent office. I also might mention that they have several offices and Dr. King travels between each one. Their office hours are scattered and they’re not even there on many days. My question is, how can he keep up with his patients if he’s scattered all over the valley? No wonder why he barely spent 10 minutes with me and his staff has no accountability.
