I am so thankful for Dr. Ira Lake for helping my husband and I through a tough time in our marriage. He is patient, understanding, and truly listens and gets to the root of the problem. My husband and I have significantly improved and are happier than ever, but we hope to see him again soon for a positive check in.

Dr. Ira literally saved my marriage and I can't recommend him enough. Every time I see someone asking on a local city page for recommendations on a therapist, I put down his information. The previous review on here is not accurate of him, his staff or his business. My husband and I were in a very, very bad spot several years back and I was willing to do anything to salvage it. I recommended counseling and my husband was all for it. Long story short, because of Dr. Ira's instructions to us, consistent sessions, a LOT of work on our part and Dr. Ira having faith in us - we made it. We pulled through what was the darkest spot in our past, we now have a beautiful child together and are hoping for another in the next year or so. I was struggling pretty badly about 9 months postpartum and didn't know what else to do. I was losing myself and the only person I felt comfortable opening up to was Dr. Ira. I sat down and just cried.. just that lol and he patiently sat there, let me feel what I needed to, made sure I had tissues and water, and said, "let's get you better." Again, it took some time (as most things with therapy do) but I made it through my blues and have a new way of handling things. His staff has always been friendly and I've never had a single issue with payment or scheduling. Dr. Ira is friendly, relatable, tries to make things light when they need it, but gets to business when it's necessary. Seriously, I can't recommend him enough. We had tried a couple before him and they were a nightmare. But if I ever need help, I will always come here. ((if you check out yelp and FB, you will see his high ratings))

When speaking to the receptionist trying to learn more about if we'd be a good for and if our situation was something he could accommodate she kept not throughouly answering the questions and directing me to just go ahead and schedule the appointment without answering my questions.
During the sessions he kept occupying himself with other things while I was talking. Interrupting me by leaning off camera to talk to his receptionist at least once each session, getting up to get water from somewhere off camera nearly every session, eating his lunch during the session, while I was in the middle of talking during a session I looked at the screen to find him using his phone without excusing himself.
He gave me a homework assignment of making a list of things I wanted to reprogram which I completed but he never mentioned the list again after 4 or more sessions later. Instead just kept asking how I was doing and only worked through my responses from that particular session week after week for about 4/5 sessions.
