A business that values community care should also prioritize fairness and transparency for its workers. I hope to see positive changes and better management. Being a local business isn't just about serving locals but treating the locals that work for you right. Will just be going to Rainbow foods and Juneau greens for the same product but with more caring managment.

I don’t usually write reviews but I love this little store so much, I would literally stop in every day if I could. The produce is always great quality and changes with the seasons, the employees are sweet and helpful, the owners are very down to earth and usually milling about helping with the samples and restocking and socializing with customers. They research ethical suppliers (including local suppliers!) and put genuine care into their business, their community, and the environment. They even give away produce that’s on its last few days for free or for extremely low prices while it’s still ripe and good quality rather than letting it rot and go to waste. I refuse to buy produce anywhere else - you really need to get your cucumbers and avocados here, at the very least. The cucumbers are insane, they almost taste vaguely like watermelon. So good. Even the cheese selection is impressive, some kinds I’ve never even heard of, and there a ton of dry goods that you won’t find anywhere else in town. The last sampler day I went to had I think 8 different kinds of mandarin oranges with little placards explaining the flavor and uses of each one!! I can’t remember if they’re still offering complementary coffee because I usually go late after work, but that’s another feature I wanted to include, as it’s really good coffee. They also just opened a to-go cafe and the food is fresh and delicious and one of the few healthy places in town that delivers on Doordash. There’s so much more I want to say but this is already getting really long so I’m cutting it off here. 100/5 stars, definitely my favorite store in town and its annoying my friends cause I wont shut up about it lol.

While my experiences at this store have always been positive, recently the operators made a decision to pursue legal action against a valued and upstanding community member who left a negative comment based on an observation in the shop. This dulled my opinion of this establishment and I likely will no longer support them unless they are kinder to the community they serve.

I had been looking for Noon Brew Peach tea and couldn't find it online. Juneau Natural had it and shipped it especially for me, which I really appreciated. And the owner, who helped me, was so nice!

Unwelcoming space - nice stuff inside but really turned off by the owner threatening community members with legal action for simply leaving a Google review. Very cringe. But at least they showed their true colors?

Shame on you for intimidating to sue an indigenous person from Łingít aaní for making a review you don't agree with. That's a threat and reinforces just how unwelcoming you are as a business.
Treat indigenous people, including your caretakers of this land, the Tlingit, with respect.

Updated 2025.05.04 Avocados for $1 are smaller size, and that promotion will end; 3 avocados weighing 13.5 ounces or 382 grams, while Costco is higher, but also at least twice as large. No savings advantage if you weigh the avocados for the price against Costco's.
