Dr. Alonso is one step above any dentist that I have ever had. He clearly explains every detail and is more than patient in answering questions. His work is impeccable and I would highly recommend him and his excellent staff for your dental needs.

Dr. Alonso is the best dentist! I recently had a cavity that needed to be filled (I live in San Antonio now) and the dentist commented on how secure the adjacent tooth’s root canal and crown are and mentioned that it is probably the best work he’s ever seen.

More importantly, unless I suspect a cavity (like the paragraph above), I still only go to Dr. Alonso for my biannual cleaning and checkup when we visit our families back in San Diego. I’d recommend him and his wonderful staff to anyone without reservation.

There is simply not a better dentist in the world than Dr. Julio H. Alonso. His professional care and warm bedside manner are unmatched. He's kind and patient with his patients. He's also very gentle and will always ask if you are comfortable. His staff is absolutely wonderful. Leticia, the receptionist, always meets me with a gorgeous smile. Debbie who helps on the insurance is great too. Cindy, the dental hygienist, is very thorough and gentle too and full of personality like Dr. Alonso. His asst. Greg is highly trained and always friendly when I walk through the door. Dr. Alonso has the latest cool stuff when it comes to his dental equipment. He can even show you images right away of what kind of work needs to be done so that YOU can see it clearly. When you lie on your back with the chair he even has beautiful images such as sea life on the lens of the florescent lights! My entire family goes to Dr. Alonso. We know we are in good hands and we live in Encinitas and the drive is always worth it. By the way, to anyone reading this review, NO I'm not a relative of Dr. Alonso...ha.

I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Dr. Julio Alonso and his staff for dental care. I had an abscess and needed a tooth extracted, Dr. Alonso provided excellent care. I also have several autoimmune diseases which prevent my healing as quickly, and as well, as most patients. Previously, when I have encountered such difficulties, I have been referred out to other dental and/or surgical specialists. However, Dr. Alonso and his staff provided excellent care and took extra steps to ensure that my health was not compromised.
