Not a great experience. Psychiatrist acted very arrogant. At one point he referenced my career and said “I didn’t realize you even needed to go to school for that”. I did not like his vibe. He was very pushy with medication even after I told him I preferred a conservative route and had already been on specific meds for multiple years. As a woman he did not feel like a safe provider. I need refills on my meds so I’m grateful I don’t have to see him often but definitely going to look for a better clinician.

Unfortunately, after being treated by this office for a while we will have to move elsewhere. They are very strict on their missing appointment fee of $60! even if you are late to your appointment due to technical issues. I asked to wave a fee as a one time curtesy and they refused. We were late to our initiall appointment due to technical issues and as soon as internet was restorded we scheduled another one for the following day however we were charged $60 anyway. I hope that fee was worth loosing patients. They care about money more than servicing people. To be honest, they create more anxiety than they treat. We are going elsewhere.

The kind of psychiatrist you didn't think existed--the one who actually listens. Not in that performative, uh-huh, tell me more way, but in a way that makes you feel seen for exactly who you are. No judgment, no weird doctor-patient power dynamic, just pure professionalism wrapped in the kind of humanity most people forget to bring into their jobs.

Here's the thing: Trust is everything. And trust, when it comes to mental health, is damn near impossible to find. I can count on one hand the number of people, "family, friends, anyone that I truly trust, and Dr. Wurbel is one of them. That is saying something. Because trust isn't just about feeling comfortable; it's about getting better care. When you trust your doctor, you tell the whole truth. You're not holding back out of shame, you're not filtering things to sound more acceptable, and when a doctor has the entire picture, they can help you how you need to be helped. Dr. Joseph creates that space.

Let me make it clear: Dr. Wurbel is not your friend or your therapist-turned-bestie. He is a professional in every sense of the word. Yet, he has a unique way of making you feel understood because he truly does. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or where you are in life; we all want to be heard and understood by someone we trust. Dr. Wurbel is that person. A solid professional who you can trust with your mental health.

Dr. Wurbel is a rare gem in the field of psychiatry. He's a solid human, a professional who truly cares. He's the kind of psychiatrist you don't come across often, and undoubtedly the best you'll ever find.

If you're in need of help, I can't recommend Dr. Wurbel enough. He's the one you should see. Seriously.

My experience was professional and timely. The initial appointment made for me to see a doctor was within a reasonable time. Dr. Vennam took time to listen to my concerns and provided feedback and recommendations. I really appreciated how he reminded me of the importance that a serious mental health concern takes precedence. My seemingly larger concerns in other matters really paled in comparison to my immediate health. Sometimes, a little perspective can make a world of difference. Thank you, Dr. Vennam.

Terrible. Dr. Pretti Mathur is rude, angry, incompetent, and arrogant.
The billing staff is ludicrous! They send you bills for no reason with the wrong coding.
Don’t let the Del Mar address get you. This is a weird institution.

I spoke with a Preeti Mathur for psychology and during the intake she made me feel very judged. She seemed to be reading off a script and not genuinely interested in helping a new patient. At the end of the appointment she then said she does not want me as a patient and I needed a “higher level of care” when in reality she could of said she isn’t educated enough in helping people with personality disorders and trauma. Preeti Mathur made me feel rushed and she was extremely rude. It was obvious she does not care. Looking through the reviews I’ve seen multiple other people have issues with her. AVOID PREETI MATHUR AT ALL COSTS!! I left this appointment feeling worse than when I came in.
