My husband and I saw Reggie. It was very refreshing to have an in-person appointment with a African American Male counselor. We felt comfortable, validated and hopeful at the end of our first appointment. Being an African American couple we appreciate connecting with a counselor of similar background and similar spiritual beliefs. It helped us to feel more at ease sharing what needed to be shared.

My husband and I reached have been seeing Rita and Reggie at New Beginnings. This counseling center has been an answered prayer. I did not grow up in a family where therapy or counseling was something people did. I can say with most confidence and assurance that this is the best decision we have made for our marriage but also for us as individuals. When you first do couples session it’s all brand new but such a safe and inviting space. I of course being who I am was hesitant and nervous. I quickly worked off the nerves by session 2 which was individual session. Rita is kind, loving, warm and also so fun and full of joy. The space inside is cute, girly and fun. I highly recommend you call and schedule an appointment. My husband has found Reggie to be amazing! That’s who he sees currently. I am beyond grateful that my husband found someone who he comfortable speaking to and Rita is someone I have found happiness and excitement to go see even though I know we will be tapping into areas of my life that need healing but because I know that she comes from such a loving place I feel safe. I don’t even know here to start other than saying Rita is absolutely amazing! Not only is she an amazing therapist but she is so loving and caring. My husband and I have been seeing her for a few months now and without her help my marriage would not have survived. There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful Rita is, how much she has had such a beautiful impact in my life and how much I love her. I’m convinced she is a God send. I see her individually and in couples therapy. I have never let myself be vulnerable and have always had walls up with people. Her office is BEAUTIFUL. Everything detail is soothing. I’ve been to several therapy appointments with different therapist and their offices have felt like, well, a basic business office and I don’t mean that disrespectfully. The colors, the lighting, the smell, the extremely comfortable seating. She even has blankets and drinks and snacks. Not to mention, the BEST gummy bears you’ll ever have.
