This place is a scam. Double charged me and my insurance for the same procedure, and were dishonest about refunding me. I’ve been unable to get a hold of anyone from their billing department for 3 months. Would not recommend.

Response to Business: I’ve called the number many times, as recently as Jan 31st. Every time someone takes down my information so that someone else from billing can call me back later, but I never receive a callback.

Absolutely amazing doctor!!! His skill is unmatched and knowledge beyond teaching. His life experience guides him through doctoring and surgical choices. He never tells you what you need, only what your options are and really listens to his patients. He spotted problems not even x-rays and MRIs could detect and gave me the option for the surgery he believed would help me and was 100% accurate for not one but TWO surgeries 2 years apart on separate feet (totally unrelated issues as well). Best doctor in any field I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

I had the worst experience here. I was sent here from the hospital after I broke my big toe because the hospital said this place takes my insurance. I go here and get seen. The doctor tells me to stay off my feet for 2 months, writes a DR note saying just that. I then apply for EDD INSURANCE through my jobs and all was needed to finalize the process and get approved was the Dr signing off on it. Philip R. Shupe refused to sign off it even though he signed off for my job to give me two months off. His reasoning was because he hasn't seen me in 15 days. EDD INSURANCE doesn't allow you to submit a claim until 10 days after. I feel this was very inconsiderate considering this doctor gave me a a dr note saying I cannot work but would not sign off so I can get EDD INSURANCE.This doctor also said he get me a boot and I never received a boot. I called over 5 times to check if the boot arrived. It never did. I ended up having to go to another ER room to see another doctor. I FEEL HAD I BEEN WHITE , THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED DIFFERENTLY. I would not recommend.

If you’re looking for a foot doctor, look no further, Dr. Shupe is the best! I’ve known Dr Shupe for almost 20 years, and he’s helped out my whole family, starting with my children’s orthopedic shoe inserts, and now me. I just had foot surgery for a very painful bunion and a neuroma, and it has been a great experience thanks to Dr Shupe’s expertise and wonderful bedside manner.
Dr Shupe is what I’d call, very respectfully and gratefully, an “old school doctor”, a true professional. You know? the kind that actually really listens and talks to you, and explains your options, never rushing you through the process, that’s Dr Shupe!
He helped me make the right decisions without any pressure and feeling very supported every step of the way.
By the way, no less important is his wonderful office staff. They are really professional, and very kind and helpful (specially appreciated when you have to deal with insurance and medical leave related documents).
I would give Dr Shupe’s practice an A+, they really are the kind professionals you need to take care of you and your feet!

I been bringing my mom to see Dr. Shupe for couple of years now. He's a wonderful, polite, caring and makes you feel very comfortable and explains everything to you. I like the fact he doesnt go straight for amputation if it can be saved he will save it. In 2016 my mom had a very purplish to almost black looking toe. The general doctor in the hospital was scaring us saying my mom will probably need to have her toe amputated because she osteomyelitis but he was waiting for the podiatrist and then here comes dr shupe to save my moms toe. He assured us that she didnt need amputation that he can save it and he did with some strong antibiotics through a picc line that needed to be put on my moms arm. I would also take her to wound care to see him weekly so he can check on the progress of her toe after a month an a half her toe was looking better. My mom is a diabetic with curved toes which creates alot of issues.He also corrected 4 of her toes to make them more straight and He did a beautiful job. He's the best! I take her to this day to see him. Hes a blessing for people with diabetics with problematic toes.

Dr. Shupe is wonderful, caring and most importantly great surgeon. I'm a diabetic with very bad vascular disease I ended up developing a bad stubborn diabetic ulcer on my big fat hammer toe that just wouldnt go away. He gave me a year to try to save it. He gave me antibiotics and would clean my toe and give me supplies to take home. The ulcer wasnt getting better with any treatment so we decided to part ways with my basically dead toe. He first sent me to get some test done and recommended me to a cardiologist because I have bad and I mean bad circulation. I needed a stent on my leg so theres blood flow going to my leg and foot and most importantly toe. I liked the fact he checked everything first and just didnt go straight to surgery that's what makes him a great doctor.He explained the whole process and assured me that everything will be fine and I will be able to walk normally. Surgery was great! I had no issues, no pain, everything went smoothly. I healed beautiful. This was back in January. It was the best decision we ever made. I love the fact that he gave me a chance to save it but my health issue were not helping me at all. I dont regret it. I'm greatful to have him as a podiatrist/surgeon. It's hard to find really good doctors that listens and care and willing to work with you. I'm greatful that I found him as my podiatrist.

Dr. Shupe and Sally are the best. They are very welcoming, caring and helpful. Dr. Shupe is very knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon. He explains the procedure in great detail. Highly recommend!
