I was scheduled for surgery on 10/3. I received a call from Shelly on 10/2, saying Dr De La Cruz had an emergency and they needed to reschedule my surgery. I understand that things happen that are beyond our control. We rescheduled my surgery for 10/25 at the same time and location. I left a message on 10/23 to confirm all was good, but never received a call back. The morning of 10/25, I reached out once again to confirm the surgery. The receptionist stated she didn't know the surgical staffs schedule or the Drs schedule outside of the office. She stated she had no way of reaching Shelly or any of the surgical staff, except to put through to their voicemail. I left another message for them. I called the surgical center where I was told the surgery would be held only to be told I wasn't on the schedule nor was Dr De La Cruz scheduled for any procedures that day with them. I called the office once again and the receptionist said it wouldn't be performed at any other location, so I must not be scheduled. I left another message for Shelly yesterday, 10/28 and still have not heard back from anyone in the office.

I had to take a week off of work starting on 10/3, and then again starting 10/25. Once my surgery actually happens, I'll have to take another week off. My work schedules 3 weeks out, so once you are off the schedule, you are off. This not only has been frustrating, but a financial hardship.

I hope to be able to revise this review with a higher rating and a positive outcome.

Can’t tell you about the Dr.’s work because I waited in the front room for an hour and 15 minutes to be seen while people who arrived after me were seen before me. Also note I had my infant and toddler with me too because I am a single mom! Urgent care referred me to this place saying it was best reviewed and most favored by customers. The front desk lady was nice and understanding but I am not impressed with the rest. The parking for this location is a joke and if you’re going in for foot problems, be prepared to drive around for 30 min looking for a spot && to walk a mile if there is no parking on the first level of the parking garage.

As a recent SF Bay Area transplant, I’m truly blessed for having been referred to Dr Kelsie Effrein as my my podiatrist! The whole staff from the front office to the nurses and assistants are so enjoyable and comforting to be with.. Dr Effreins duty of care, compassion, professionalism and knowledge during my exams etc including toe nail removal is nothing less than exemplary! I would know ,,,after making it for over 62 years ! Thank you so much guys ?❤️I love the chocolate minis on my way out.. that’s was a treat ? I snagged two.

The business never responded to my post the first time. I only posted the review once.

Had an appointment Jan 25th told them at that time I wanted to proceed with surgery. Shelley gave me paperwork which were directions to the hospital and where to park. I was told by Dr. Effrein to get preoperative work done and to send it back. I made an appointment with my primary. The day of my appointment my primary told me they didn't have orders. I called OTM and no one was there to help me as the receptionist didn't know. Fast forward a week and half or so of back and forth between the 2 places. I was able to get it done despite them never sending anything over to the primary or calling them to tell them what stuff I needed done. Which they said they would do. Once I got the results back they faxed it to OTM. Then I waited I finally called and asked when I can expect to hear about my surgery they said in the next 2 weeks. I call my insurance and find out they never submitted a prior authorization. I finally get a call March 19th to schedule my surgery March 22nd. (I love the short notice). I then ask if they will need a prior authorization because my insurance never got one and Shelley was like uh ya we'll need that. I said why wasn't one submitted. She said they usually submit one when they know if I want the surgery or not. I was like ya, I said this back in January. Since the authorization would probably not be back in that time, the next surgery day available was April 19th. I canceled my surgery. I'm not sure what happened since they have these great reviews but they dropped the ball this time. And the worst part other than not getting my surgery was that Shelley didn't even seem to care that I was upset. In addition to this I had my toenail clipped and sent in to see if I had a toe fungus or not and still have not got the results back. But I definitely got the bills for everything. Everyone is really nice but they have really dropped the ball.

My first appointment at On the Move Podiatry , what a breath of fresh air!! Being type 1 diabetic for over 30 years has taken a toll on my feet and Dr. Effrein was very knowledgeable about why my feet were breaking down the way they were, and was able to give me good information moving forward with my diabetic foot care. Office staff is polite, everyone was very warm and inviting!! Definitely recommend On the Move Podiatry!!

This was my very first visit. All staff were friendly, considerate, and provided periodic updates. Doctor Effrein was interested, asked pertinent questions, very knowledgeable, and heard what I said/questioned. Give them a try if you’re looking for a podiatrist.
