Love this dental office so far. I was so pleased with how willing they were to accomodate me when I asked if I could come in earlier and they even squeezed in some of my procedures same day instead of making me wait for another visit. Carmina was so sweet and did a great job making both me and my daughter feel at ease. She has a happy and calming presence. Mariah was also amazing with my daughter as well as the other assistant who's name escapes me which is unfortunate because she was very upbeat and took her time explaining the x-ray process. The doctor was very fast yet thorough and did not come off condescending or judgmental as many dentists can. He was straight to the point and matter of fact which I like. "This is what you need, this is what's critical, and these are the less serious things that can wait." Discussing the cost of things can be tough but Christine did a great job providing different options. In the end she allowed me to pick what I wanted to move forward with and not once did I feel pressured into anything. Pleased to say this is now my family's home dental office 🙂

PDC has been assisting me with my teeth for years. The staff are friendly and so patient. Oscar is my favorite hygienist. The doctors are so efficient is lessens my dental anxiety. I don't love having to go, but love going here.

In the last two weeks, I have had two procedures done by Dr. Wyndhamsmith and his assistant Carmina. Both were extremely professional, making me feel at ease. Carmina clearly explained the work that would be done each time and post procedure instructions. During the actual procedures, both inquired about my comfort level. I highly recommend the care given by these two individuals.

This place is crazily slow in general. Everytime I am here on time, I have to wait for at least half an hour. This time an hour.
They have too many administrative people and they do not communicate well so they don't know what you have communicated through phone.
Update:
They cancelled my appointment and claim that they do not serve people who are not happy with them after this customer waited quietly aside for an hour since she asked questions for clarification.
(Many lies in their response btw.)
The front desk people are the rudest ones I have ever seen so I lowered the rating just because of them. The doctor and the other dental services are nice.
The front desk keep accusing me of being rude. They even put me in a private office and warn me that 'you are not behaving when they are doing you a favor' as if you are a baby. That experience makes me a bit afraid of this place when I started to think about any appointments with them. I am glad that I am finally relieved.
I think it is just one of the front desk but I cannot say that for sure. I just suggest you to save your time and turn to elsewhere
to avoid the trouble as such.

My wife transferred her insurance to your office before appointment and confirmed it was active after the service. She called multiple times to verify coverage, and after two days, her insurance portal showed your office as primary care provider. Despite this, your team refused to check her coverage and kept holding off her calls and gave her same quote and don’t want to even talk to her.
Also, the claim that ‘no other office wanted to treat her’ is false. She has since been treated by another office efficiently with same procedures and just finished today but affordably, $300, without the excessive charges your office quoted. Her frustration stems from your unwillingness to verify coverage and the treatment coordinator’s lack of care in explaining costs. How do you explain saying her benefits weren’t valid? Is it due to a system issue or neglect by your staff? This experience has been deeply disappointing.
My wife is a respected quant developer, and we chose to purchase our home in Pasadena because of its commitment to diversity and inclusion. I never imagined we would encounter such rude, arrogant, and racist behavior on Green Street. As a UCLA alum and my wife a USC alum, we can confidently say we have never been troublemakers, nor have we ever given a business less than three stars. Instead of addressing the process, quality of care, and the coordinator's attitude, the owner fabricated a story, claiming my wife, who is very knowledgeable, is a confused patient who no other office would take. It's quite absurd and amounts to gaslighting other new patients. Today, she received the same procedures with proper support from the entire team at another office. If more fabricated stories arise, we are fully prepared to respond using our real names."

“Avoid Pasadena Dental Care if you have an HMO plan — they treat you like a walking wallet, not a patient. They are dismissive, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. My experience was horrifying, to say the least.”
I scheduled an urgent appointment for severe tooth pain, hoping for care, but was instead faced with blatant disregard and upselling tactics. After a quick x-ray scan, a staff member briefly mentioned I needed a root canal, but no further explanation was given. I asked why, what the procedure entailed, and what my options were — all basic questions any patient deserves to have answered. Her response? “The treatment coordinator will explain.”
Thirty minutes later, the “treatment coordinator” — who, shockingly, was just the front desk receptionist — presented me not with information about my health, but a price list. I was told I had to pay $1100 for the root canal and $1300 for a crown. No clarification about my condition, no breakdown of procedures — just a demand for money.
The entire time, the receptionist emphasized that because I have an HMO plan, I would need to pay this out of pocket, as if this price gouging was standard. When I asked her again about the medical necessity of the root canal, she gave me a blank stare, like I was shopping for an item instead of seeking medical care. The whole ordeal felt like a transaction, not a consultation.
Even worse, when I requested my x-ray to get a second opinion, they told me it would cost $50! And to make matters worse, after contacting my insurance (Aetna), I learned that the root canal was supposed to be 60% covered under my plan. I also did some research and found that root canals generally cost around $200-$400, nowhere near the $1000+ I was quoted.
Regarding my knowledge of my HMO plan, I made this place as my primary care, so the fees can be appropriately covered. After trasnfering, I asked them to check the price one more time, they refused to do so. And another detal clinic told me I need to pay $333 if I did root canal with my insurnace plan.
When I tried to resolve the pricing discrepancy, I was repeatedly dismissed by the rude and unprofessional front desk staff, particularly a woman named Christina. She refused to assist (holding off my call several times) and was even condescending and disrespectful throughout the entire process.
After seeking a second opinion from another dentist, I was told that I didn’t even need a root canal. This only confirmed my suspicion that Pasadena Dental Care is more interested in overcharging patients, especially those with HMO plans, than providing real medical care.
If you have an HMO plan, I urge you — do NOT go to Pasadena Dental Care. Their prices are higher than most clinics, and they treat you like a number, not a human being. And if you have PPO insurance, be prepared to face similar gouging. Save yourself the frustration, money, and stress. There are many other dental care options out there that treat patients with respect and honesty. And they don't quite understand the HMO plan and don't know how to do the basic math calculation. Another place presented $333 based on my plan. The frustating point is not the price at all, is the attitude they treat to patients and they refuse to help you

Hi everyone I honestly want to alert every one who is interested to go to this dental office in pasadena care. Mainly the lady named Christine ,that deals with your insurance documents. Who is just ready to just absolutely rip you off. And she will try to lure you in to accept the procedure or "things" that they "have" to do. Then I tried to get my procedure done, which was a partial, and she will CONSTANTLY insist you to pay half down before beginning the "procedure". And will push you to pay the rest of the amount before completing the rest of procedure. Next the dentist who did my procedure the first time was Sally Farah D.M.D. She did the worst procedure that I've ever experienced. And completely unprofessional and forced my denture and damageing my lips and gums. Not just that she pushed the denture so hard it was do hard to remove to "fix". Even the assistant was very surprised of why and how she did it like that. Next I had more than 5 visits to "try to fix" the partial since the work was horrible and was not good. EVEN the second dentist (Dr. David Wyndhamsmith) "tried" to fix it. It even seemed like he was drunked or didn't sleep good. And was rude to all the staff. And doesn't pay attention to the patient. And failed like the other dentist to try to fix it. I ended up demanding 🫴 my money back and gave me only half. Once again, i say do not and proceed with caution in going to this "dental office" all they want is your money and nothing else.

My husband been with this dental care office for many years… we’ll say approximately 14 years and over and I switch my dental care to this place as well.
I would say that the service is exceptional.
It’s clean and the staff is really friendly.
And dentist and professional staffs are very dedicated in what they do.
Very thorough and very good and what they do. Thank you for the service you guys provide for your patients.
Love the decor, you see all the achievements of the experts that works in these location and love the chair so comfy!
