I had my first visit with Dr. Amir Hosseini this morning as a new patient. I broke a molar over the weekend and this was the first practice that could fit me in. Dr. Amir had wonderful bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable and informed through the process of inspecting my damaged tooth and coming up with a plan of action. I received a temporary crown to protect my tooth for now until I can go in for a permanent setting. The whole process only took an hour and a half. I will definitely be a returning patient.

Dr. Hosseini was one of three consults I received for braces and after our first meeting, I was ready to sign up immediately. He does an excellent job of explaining thoroughly what he sees going on with your teeth, what the options are for correcting it, and gaining well informed consent along the way. He recommended a functional appliance for the issues that I was having in combination with braces to not only align my teeth properly, but to correct my bite. He warned me that this was not something that was standardly used as a mode of treatment past early puberty, but that he had done this a few times with older patients -- though never quite as old as me -- and had done this after research had been coming out about the measured success others had giving a functional appliance to adults. While what he said had me sold that he knew what he was doing -- far more than any other ortho consult I had had yet who simply wanted to pull teeth and put braces on me -- Dr. Hosseini insisted I go home and do my own research before making my final decision.

I did as instructed and found what he had been talking about. Adults did not have as drastic movement in their jaw placement as 10-13 year old children, but they did have at least some millimeters of change. That was enough to me as I was willing to give something new a try to fix this chronic problem. A year and 9 months later, I have completed the treatments and I have to say that we have had impressive results! My jaw alignment is exactly where we hoped it would be with no marked regression since taking off the device, my occlusion is so much better (prior to treatment I could only touch my back four molars, now all my teeth touch save the front four, which is how it should be!), and while we will need to wait and see what happens with the grinding, I have already noticed a huge improvement in my jaw pain and grinding.

Dr. Hosseini does not offer standard care, he offers personalized care. I would trust no one else with something so important as braces moving forward. After having suffered for years due to bad orthodontia, I know how important it is to find someone who is an expert in their field.
