I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Erich Haezebrouck who was at least 30 minutes late. Right off the bat, the provider dismissed my concerns by stating that I probably don’t have bipolar disorder because "it’s very rare," without even taking the time to listen to my history or symptoms. He seemed biased and uninterested in an actual diagnosis, already set in his beliefs before hearing anything from me.

As a Navy veteran, I found his attitude particularly offensive. He implied I haven’t been to a combat zone just because my files wouldn’t load on his laptop—something that can easily be verified through public logs, medals, and ribbons. This kind of dismissive behavior and lack of professionalism was incredibly frustrating and made me feel like my service and experiences were being invalidated. I would not recommend this provider to anyone, especially veterans seeking proper care and understanding.

My experience with them in general, and specifically with the therapist I have worked with, has been better and more helpful in my life than I had even realized that therapy could be. I strongly recommend Pinnacle Counseling to anyone looking for a good counseling provider that they can trust. The counseling process isn’t easy but over time it can change you life in amazing ways

During the pandemic lock downs, i couldn't find any available counselors that worked with children in my area. Therapists were booked out or didn't see children of my daughters age. I was referred to Pinnacle by my sister who lives in California because they work with children with selective mutism and she loves them! Tho my daughter doesn't technically suffer from SM, I called Pinnacle and was surprised at the lengths to which they were willing to go to help my daughter during this difficult time. One of the counselors got licensed in my state specifically to work with my child on her extreme anxiety and inability to speak outside of the home. I can't believe the great lengths the counselor, as well as the owner, went thru to assist us at a time when no one in my area would. We are very sad to not be using them any longer but ultimately needed someone closer to home to do in person visits. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

If you consider yourself a high-masking adult woman with ASD (with or without coexisting disorders) let me spare you the time and money being evaluated here. You are better off waiting to be evaluated by a professional who has experience and knowledge of the high-masking autistic profile, specifically in women. This experience will only discourage you further from understanding yourself.

Dr. Haezebrouck gives off a false sense of professionalism with minor knowledge of this autistic profile. I was encouraged by my therapist and psychiatrist to seek this evaluation based on their long observations and worry that I might have gone undiagnosed since childhood. I left this evaluation feeling misheard, evaluated with bias, and uncomfortable. I was told my reality was not accurate and that I was making my symptoms up because of my own personal warped view of myself. I was continuously pushed into Dr. H's own narrative and he consistently did not listen to me. I provided a helpful binder of everything going on with me including, symptoms, experiences, relatable questionnaires, K-2nd grade transcripts, and more to be told it was not authentic and that I needed to recall this information from memory. I wasn't taken seriously and constantly dismissed. I disagreed with many of his interpretations of my experience as it felt like he was only hearing what he wanted to.

My time and money was wasted, my mental damaged, and my desire to understand myself was destroyed.

Ironically, I was formally diagnosed a few months later and was apologized profusely for how I was treated here at Pinnacle Counseling. Please find a more educated and updated clinic to help you if you find that you relate to me. Good luck.
