As a first time patient at Ponderosa Dental Group I was thoroughly impressed by the hospitality provided by all staff members. The receptionist was extremely helpful as I was having difficulty submitting my insurance information via phone app. The x-ray technician ensured that I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. The doctor was very thorough and the dental hygienist was so kind and friendly! Overall very satisfied with my visit.

Since my English proficiency is limited, I specifically chose a doctor who speaks Mandarin. During my first visit to the clinic, they took numerous X-rays, including a 360-degree panoramic scan and multiple localized images. I wasn't sure if this was because my condition was particularly severe or if it was just the doctor's usual procedure, but I had never undergone so many scans before.

Later, the Mandarin-speaking doctor came in and told me that my periodontal disease was very serious and that I needed to see a periodontist. He said that the periodontal disease must be treated first before I could get dental implants. Before I left, he arranged for an assistant to clean my teeth, but I waited for a long time, and no one came to perform the cleaning. Eventually, the doctor returned and handed me a card, instructing me to call my insurance company to request the assignment of a periodontist.

Yesterday, I called my insurance company to explain the situation. They told me they would get back to me, and I opted to be contacted via email. However, as of today, I have yet to receive any email from them.

first time here was great, got a deep clean on half my teeth and when I came back for the second half, the girl who did it was really nice but did not apply the solution afterwards. and when I tried to tell her I’m on a payment plan for these treatments she continues to tell me I don’t need it because I already had another antibiotic powder put, so that’s not necessary. (mind you, i’ve already signed up for the sunbit to make payments), I don’t think she understood this. Anyways I leave and don’t even bother telling the front desk bc i’m annoyed at that point and just wanna leave. I then call a couple days later and explain to the front desk lady (who was very nice and understanding btw) and she was apologetic and let me know next time I go in they will apply it. and I said great. I go in for the third time for a dental guard fit and the second half of my cleaning and I get my guard and the assistant guy starts telling me “you’re all set” and taking off the little tissue paper and I let him do all this work before I even bring up the fact I never got the solution put in my teeth. 10 minutes prior to this, I had read my chart while waiting and in highlighted yellow was i’m assuming the front desk ladies note saying to put the fluoride solution on my teeth. I had to tell this dude “um it says right there i’m supposed to finish my cleaning you guys never did the last time” and he scurries off to get the hygienist (which is also very nice). Why am I telling this dude how to do his job? idk. lol So, I explained what happened to the D.H. and he apologized and looked over everything to make sure everything was done.
Basically maybe the assistants need to fully read the patients chart or to do list whatever you call it and make sure the patient is getting EVERYTHING they came in for. Giving 3 stars for the 3 people who were nice ☺️

Excellent service… accommodated me in my wheelchair because I could not climb into the dental chair. Sat down with me, broke down all charges, and offered payment assistance.

Had a broken, calcified molar extracted. Dr. Nguyen was excellent, zero pain during nor after the procedure. The dental assistant was excellent too, very calming and supportive (Terry I think).
