I deleted my previous review of this dental office due to 2 experiences.
Last fall, I had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with Jackie Arellano concerning a $506.00 charge. After 2 months of back and forth emails trying to find out exactly what the charge was for, I was turned over to a collection agency with no prior warning. I was not opposed to paying, I just wanted to know what it was FOR and why my insurance wasn't covering it. She was both rude and unprofessional.
Most recently, I was recommended to have a crown. I was quoted $1080.00 for a crown that my insurance will not cover. Neither dentist was willing to do my crown with the porcelain/ceramic crown that my insurance will cover. This makes me feel that they do not have my best interests at heart as I have found 3 other dentists that can accommodate me.
As a last comment, if you call the office and get their voicemail, forget about getting a call back. It won't happen.

First time at the dentist in many years… the entire team here made it an excellent experience! Melody took my x-rays and made me laugh with her quick wit and energy. Maria, the hygienist, worked quickly and expertly. Dr. Jaiswal answered questions patiently and in as much detail as I wanted. And Kylie at the front desk explained pricing transparently and made scheduling my next check up a breeze! Overall a really great experience, and I’m looking forward to returning to a group that seems to care about good dental care but also good patient care. 🙂

I recently had a root canal done with Dr. Jaiswal and her assistant Melody. I was extremely nervous as I never had a root canal before and I had a bad experience with a cavity fill in the past with a previous dentist I was using back in GA.

First, the receptionist at the front, I have only met 3 of them, they are very welcoming and upfront about the cost and options before going under treatment. If you have concerns and worries they are quick to find answers and assist you the best way they can. I had a lot of appointments coming up and needed the root canal done soon and they work around my schedule as well as the doctors. They even help come up with a payment plan that works with my income.

Secondly, when I went in for my first appointment for the X-rays before the 3 days later they did the root canal, the doctor informed me of how the procedure would go and what to expect. I informed her of my fears of the numbing shot and my bad experience with a previous dental office. She assured me everyone is very experienced and the assistant who was helping her have very gentle hands. I thought this was a method of her just to keep me calm of the expected appointment but come day of the appointment and I went underway of the procedure I felt nothing when they administer the shot and next thing I know I was numb within 5 minutes of the shot in my gums. This root canal was nothing but a piece of cake!

Although, after my root canal, that night the temporary crown did come off due to how little my teeth are and the amount of cement used. I went back in and expressed my feeling of nerve pain. Which rarely happens but my nerve became inflamed due to me waiting a whole year after being told I needed a root canal. Dr. Jaiswal did not hesitate when I express this pain and she further examined my root canal and administered medicine to the nerve and replace the temporary crown. Dr. Jaiswal as well gave me medicine for pain and prescribed medication for antibiotics and pain.

Not to mention I am a mother and my 4 year old was there through all of this. They tended to my little girl while I was right there beside her getting work done on my tooth. I even brought stuff to keep my daughter occupied and snacks and juices but they also provided the same!! My daughter was able to watch her show off their screen, they gave her snacks and water, and even a sticker book to keep her occupied! I could not thank Dr. Jaiswal, her assistant Melody, and the other assistants there as well that drop in to check on me and my daughter throughout the appointment.

If you are looking for a dentist that makes you top priority, this dental office is it! I have never been so calm and relaxed about going to the dentist until this dental office.

I go back in 2 weeks for my permanent crown and I am ready more than ever but above all, thank you Poway Family Dental Group for making this experience a new eye opener for someone who experienced a root canal for the first time and had past bad experience with other dental offices!

I went in for a cracked tooth, and was really stressed going in. I had just had a ton of dental procedures done earlier this year at another office and had a terrible experience. Dr. Dalton and the assistants that helped (Rog and Alejandra) were so nice, and really helped me feel comfortable. I got a filling and it was done so fast! I then went in another day to get the bite adjusted so it was smoother, and they did it so fast and now it feels great. I really appreciated how they treated me. Jackie the manager helped me both times and she is great and explained everything to me!! I highly recommend this dental office and would recommend to my friends and family.

I've been going here for several years. I started with Dr. Jaiswal and I've also seen Dr. Dalton. Today I saw the hygienist Younis.

I've always had a good experience. If they've ever made a mistake, I've given them grace. I make mistakes. I can't expect perfection. The hygienists and dentists take their time setting up, so I don't expect any mistakes there.

There's never been billing issues or anything like that.

I have had issues trying to confirm or reschedule via the portal, but I just call to straighten it out.

MUST READ!!!! WORST DENTAL OFFICE!!!!!!!!
This place is a complete scam! All they care about is lining their own pockets and ripping people off. I got a retainer here five years ago for $100—now they want $1,000 for the exact same thing because they “lost” my records. Total lie. Every real dental office keeps patient records. Their customer service is a nightmare, takes weeks to get a response, and they’re only interested in draining your wallet. Don’t waste your time or money on these crooks!

I had an appointment scheduled for January 6, which I called on December 23 to cancel and reschedule for January 7. However, when I arrived at the office today, I was told that I didn’t have an appointment and that only the January 6 appointment was canceled. The receptionist looked into it and discovered that some random person, whom even she didn’t recognize, had canceled the appointment and failed to reschedule it. This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I took time out of my day expecting to be seen, and this mistake caused unnecessary inconvenience. The office should ensure better handling of appointments to prevent such issues in the future. I will not be coming back to this place again.

Younis was very nice and treated me with respect. I appreciated his truthfulness and recommendations for taking care of my mouth. Hillary was very attentive and personable. My cleaning today was pleasant.
