I would like to give praise to Valerie. She is an incredibly knowledgeable therapist and a great caring person. Valerie helped me through my complicated recovery and fixed the damage that was done to my back by a therapist in another pt place. I am almost fully recovered but will still be seeing her for check ups. I highly recommend her to everyone!

I have been a loyal patient at PT Works in Los Altos for over 20 years, and I can say that Kristin Shadduck, the senior physical therapist, is probably one of the best..

Kristin's professionalism and dedication are both of very high standard, not only in terms of diagnosis and treatment but also in the overall care she provides to her patients.

When it comes to treatment, Kristin's skills truly shine. She employs a diverse range of techniques and modalities, tailored specifically to address individual needs. Whether it's therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, or innovative approaches, Kristin consistently demonstrates her mastery of various methods. Her gentle yet firm guidance throughout the process helped greatly every time in my recovery-being.

Beyond her exceptional technical abilities, is her genuine care and compassion. She creates a warm and welcoming environment, where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and goals. Kristin actively listens and communicates with empathy, ensuring that she fully understands the challenges her patients face. It's clear that she views each individual as more than just a patient; she treats them as if they were her own family.

I was a patient here for a serious, chronic injury. My therapist was Michael Croft, one of the owners. He behaved inappropriately towards me, in a way that threatened my medical care. He ended up terminating my care abruptly, causing me a lot of physical pain and a decline in my health that still persists over a year later. When I told the other owner, Kristin, about what Mike had done, she asked me to keep it quiet for the reputation of the business. For the following year, Mike continued to work and treat patients, who were not told about his behavior (although everyone on the staff knew). When I expressed how inappropriate I thought it was for him to continue working as usual and for his other patients not to be allowed to make an informed choice, the only response I got was that none of the other staff were engaging with Mike, so his work experience would be unpleasant. I left this situation not only with increased physical pain and disability, but feeling incredibly powerless and unimportant because of the way the situation was handled. Mike was supposed to take care of my health; instead, he used me to fulfill his own needs and then abandoned my care when his needs changed. No one stood up for me or helped me except one of my family members, who reported Mike to the PT Board because he had violated CA law as well as professional ethics. I was not cared for here, as a patient or as a person.
