It’s puzzling to see so many great reviews here. Both my husband and I had the absolutely worst experience with a dental office, ever. I should have walked away from the first appointment but could not imagine the extent of malpractice here. Dr Jiang placed a faulty crown on my implant, denied doing so and the office staff charged 3x the typical price after insurance. They also either don’t understand basic accounting or pretend to not understand it. It took 6 months to get refunded through a grievance filed with my insurance and FSA card. The office contested it and it had to go through arbitration. They are only experts at taking advantage of honest people. It all ended well for us but, if I knew, I would have definitely avoided the whole experience.

As a new patient with Delta Dental insurance, I had a great experience at Rancho Penasquitos Dentistry. I let them know ahead of time that I only wanted what was covered by my insurance. Dr. Jiang and the staff were wonderful. They did thorough ex-rays, exam, and a teeth cleaning. Suggested a replacement filling to solve a gap between teeth issue, that I may have done in the future. They were willingly respectful of staying with in my insurance coverage. I look forward to continuing as a patient in this office far into the future.

Dr. Steven Jiang is the kindest and most caring dentist I’ve ever met. I was initially worried about the procedure and unfamiliar with dental terminology, but he took the time to explain everything in detail, both in English and Mandarin, ensuring I fully understood. He made me feel at ease, constantly checking on me throughout the procedure. Thanks to his expertise and compassion, I was able to get all my fillings done with minimal pain and no anxiety. I’m truly grateful for his care!

I highly recommend this clinic! My confidence changed after my visit with Dr. Jiang, I had struggled with tooth discoloration since 5yo and forcing my smile to remain a certain way. I never thought I could smile wholeheartedly until Dr. Jiang took care of my teeth. He was the nicest dentist I’ve ever met. The process was painless, detail-oriented, and doc took his time with my teeth. The team was also quite involved in making sure that I had a good experience, including working with me financially. I appreciate this clinic and staff, I also met Alexis, Gabby, Kalina, and Dr. Zhao who were delightful! Will definitely refer others here!!

Great dentistry! The facility itself is clean and has the latest and greatest medical equipment. Staff is very personable yet professional at the same time. The Doctors and Hygienist are very thorough with their inspections and ensure they give the appropriate and best treatment. The administrative staff are the best when it comes to enrollment, billing, check-in, and scheduling. Without getting into the details, Dr. Zhao and Charlene initially took me in on an emergency visit and continue to treat me despite my complex dental history. Parking is good. Check them out!

Dr. Zhao has been my dentist for years and I can't say enough good things about having her as part of my care team. I trust her completely and I am at ease knowing my dental care is in her hands. She could tell me to chew dirt for cavity prevention and I'd do it.

Additionally, Charlene has been my hygienist for years and I've experienced such a difference with her and other hygienists I've worked with in the past. She has such a gentle touch (I barely feel she's cleaning my teeth!) but is comprehensive and thorough with her work. You can tell she genuinely cares about you and wants the best cleaning experience for you.

Every time I go to the office, I am greeted as if I am family (even if they've never met me). The dental assistants and other technicians are also so kind and it's a really fun environment to be in. I highly recommend the Rancho Penasquitos Dentistry team!!

The worst dental office I have ever been too, they lie and gaslight to overcharge you and insurance. They lied to me and quoted me 1 price prior to procedure and a double the price after the procedure. Dr. Zhao is very rude and has that attitude that she knows the most. She is always trying to assert that your dental hygiene and teeth is the worst so you would pay her to get unnecessary treatments. Beware of their tactics to scam you into paying extra for unnecessary procedures and front desk staff and manager is also very rude and unprofessional.

I have been going to this Dentistry for almost 4 years and the reason I keep coming back is not only the great work they do on my teeth, but because of the people who work there. They are attentive to my needs, extremely informative, and personal people. I don’t trust any other dentistry other than Rancho Penasquitos Dentistry. Charlene Yambao has been cleaning my teeth every 3 months and when I come in, I know I am being taken care of. Dr.Zhao has also worked on my teeth and the amount of knowledge she has while not being pushy is why I continue to stay with her. I did not expect to build relationships with a dentistry but here I am, giving them 5 stars BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT.
