Growing up in a third world country, I did not grow up with access to strong dental care — in my hometown the practice was to pull teeth rather than try to treat the cavities. When I came to the US at age 16, I was already using dentures - which I grew accustomed to.

At age 23, my fiancé took me to Hawaii. I excitedly bit a sugar cane, breaking my dentures, and revealing to my husband-to-be that he was going to marry a girl with a dentures like an old lady. As soon
as we came back to Los Angeles, he went on a mission to find a dentist who can help a poor old lady, me… Dr. Silvera did not know that he was in for a challenge.

There was a significant bone and tissue loss that lead to my facial appearance to be lop-sided. It took at least two years to finish my treatment. He did a remarkable job, and people complimented my radiant smile. Besides the change in my appearance, I truly believe that my personality improved.

While my first marriage did not last, my dental implants from Dr. Silvera certainly did.

35 years later. I am still a patient; and I still look forward to my dental appointments.

I actually moved quite far (but still in Southern California) but still travel to his office because I haven't found any dental office that is more skilled and professional anywhere around. He is also a really nice guy and his staff...really awesome people working for him.
