This place has been the absolute worse to get into for my daughter's for emergency dental. Dr only comes in twice a week and they don't have a cancelation list. You have to call everyday to see if you can get in. I called our dentist from the town we moved 3 hours away from and the doctor asked me to email photos, ordering antibiotics is coming in on a Saturday when we make the 3 hour drive north so he can make sure she is okay. I miss our home town dentist so much. This small town dentist in wasco is the worse. There is no care for patients. At this local dentist... especially for the children.

So I had a bad experience at the dentist when I was a teenager and haven’t went to one in 8 years. I finally decided to go one and I went here. Horrible mistake. I thought it was going well at first because the receptionist was very polite and as I went in to get my xray the dental assistant Alexa was very nice and didn’t make feel bad for not being able to do the adult xray.(which previous dentist have) So things were great until we needed to get the back teeth Alexa called in another assistant who had more experience and would be better at taking the pictures without hurting me. Didn’t happen. When she came in Alexa informed her she was using the small one for me Karla(I think was her name) replied in a snarky tone “well I’m going to use the big one” she was very rough in trying to get the photos (I have a sensitive gag reflex) as Alexa kept asking her if the photos taken would be okay. Karla became visibly annoyed and just replied with “she just making it difficult” (uhm sorry Karla no I wasn’t. It wasn’t fun for me and if I could do exactly as what was expected you wouldn’t need to be called in!) finally after Alexa kept pushing for it to done Karla finally relented and Alexa took me to see the dentist. It just got worse from there. (My front teeth are squished together and it makes it difficult to floss but I try my best) as soon as I began to tell him that I floss this man just starts to shake his head at me! I didn’t even finish the sentence before he started shaking his head. (I floss twice daily, yes sir…I actually do!) I explained to him that the floss string won’t go between my teeth so I have to force it and when I finally do I have to rip it out and it hurts. He just sighs and gets his scraper out and picks at the plaque. He has my head angled up so he can see and when he finally gets some off it goes flying into the back of my throat and I start choking I stand up and I’m trying to breath (Poor Alexa I feel like I freaked her out) The dentist though just sighs and stares at me emotionless and when I finally sit back down he just goes “yeah see, that plaque built up because you don’t floss” (I begin to tell him I do and he ignores me) “well you don’t floss properly. That right there(referring to the little choking incident) shows me that you don’t floss properly” (…well yeah sir I just said I had a difficult time flossing?!) all in all…horrible experience that just reaffirmed my hatred of the dentist. I went there to get my teeth check not to be lecture, ignored, and ridiculed like some kind of child(I hope they don’t actually treat children like this) the only people and I mean the ONLY people that deserve any kind of recognition is the dental assistant and the receptionist. They wanted me to go back from a cleaning…yeah right I rather lose my teeth they be put through that humiliation/disrespect again. Thank you Alexa for being a light in horrible place. Though I wish I could put zero star since I have to put one star it goes solely to Alexa and the receptionist.
