I had such a great experience at this dental office! Hygienist Yun is amazing—she did such a thorough job and was so kind and professional throughout. The doctor is also very gentle and friendly. A big shoutout to their receptionist: she’s incredible at helping with scheduling, rescheduling, and always sends timely reminders for appointments. The whole team truly makes you feel cared for. Highly recommend!

Dr. Cortes was recommended through FB Mira Mesa neighbors after I needed a second opinion. I broke a filling and went to another dentist where they diagnosed me with a bunch of cavities. They were able to get me in fast within the next day. My initial estimated cost with the other dentist was 1000’s out-of-pocket after insurance. So I went to get a second opinion. Dr. Cortes was knowledgeable and straightforward. Asked me how did they diagnose me if they did not call out numbers or use a special tool to see possible fractures. He Made me recommendations and I never felt pressure. BTW I’m the type of person who easily feels pressure and has little courage to speak up. I ended paying 100’s instead of 1000’s. Front staff is quick and efficient too. The office is clean. Also, the dental hygienist did such a great job on cleaning my teeth. A little heavy handed, however no complaints because My teeth felt clean for a week. I love they are a small family own business. I can tell they want long life clients due to their honesty. I went 3 times and will be coming back.

I been going to San Diego Smile Center since 2020. I recommend this dentist if your looking to get everthing done at one place. I gotten braces, implants, cleaning, caps, filings, and my teeth whitening.

They constantly pressure you to start Invisalign treatment, which seems to be a big new revenue generator for them. They have multiple dogs in the office and in the back where patients are being treated, which comes off as unhygienic for a place of medical treatment. Would not recommend.
