The Dentist here is the rudest, most awful medical professional I've ever met. I have never had to use a free clinic like this before, I can't believe the way I was treated, dismissed, and how it angered her when I was trying to tell her she was hurting me, she walked away right after pushing me off the chair three times telling the assistant to take me up front and make me pay for the other work that needed to be done, I then heard her joking to a college that it was only a matter of time before someone reported her! I don't care if your the dentist to the stars or the homeless, kindness, bedside manners and respect for people as equal rights having human beings is not in this woman! She completely pulled one tooth and I felt every bit of it! When I was crying, she said, " what? What? Your numb you can't feel it, look, look, see you can't feel anything your being dramatic it's just pressure you feel!" as she poked hard three times in the bloody socket of my missing tooth I had to actually reposition myself in the chair to get her to stop hurting me and get her fingers out of my mouth! You can tell she thought less of me as a person and treated me as such! Well Dr. Prato, I have already filed a grievance and I really hope that malpractice insurance is all paid up, because I saw a real dentist the next day told her the whole story, had pictures taken of how bruised my face and blackened my eyes were! You'll be hearing from me soon!

I haven't even been able to go to an appointment. They scheduled me, called two days before my appointment and told me they were going to be closed. Then why did you schedule me for that day and time? So the woman on the phone said I could go in at 8am the following day as a walk in. I decided this was my best option since scheduling an appointment would put me at February for an appointment! So I come in at 8am the following day as a walk in. They told me they weren't taking walk ins because they were short staffed. Currently looking for another dentist that takes my insurance.

I called day before yesterday to make a appointment for my grandson and was told the closest appointment was in October but they do walk in in the morning and at 1
so I was there waiting at 12:22 and a man jumped and went in before me and when I got to the window and tried to sign in I was told they only take one person in the afternoon and there open till 5 so what do they do till 5

Any adult needing dental work with no dental insurance or even if you have Medicaid, I highly suggest SWLA Health Services in Oberlin. They have been so incredibly kind and easy to deal with, from the receptionist to the dentist and all other staff! As someone with extreme dental anxiety, this place has made it a breeze. Be prepared to wait your turn - but in my opinion, it is worth it. I had a bad tooth pulled today and from the time I was actually called back to the time I left was about 15 minutes.

I have very bad dentist anxiety and when I went in, I wanted to cry tears of nervousness. By time I left, I wanted to cry out of happiness. Their dental group is amazing and I couldn’t be more thankful for how comforting and kind each of them were.

I’d give this place zero stars if it were an option. I’ve never been so disrespected by a receptionist in my life! I had my bottom teeth pulled and made an appointment for two months later to get two top teeth pulled. I went to get my denture plate at another dentist’s office when I left but I couldn’t get it because of 3 bone protrusions that got left behind. I went back here a couple days later and was told by the dentist to get my scripts filled and come back in a day or two & it wouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. I tried making my appointment but their computers were down. I called back the next morning and the receptionist told me I already had an appointment for 2 months later. I told her I’m aware of that and that appointment was to get two upper teeth pulled. I told her that I needed an appointment for asap like the dentist said to get the jawbone shaved down so I’d be able to get my denture plate. She told me no that I already had that appointment for two months from now. I again told her what the dentist said and she basically called me a liar stating it’s a 45 minute procedure and it was for two extractions. I again said yes that appointment two months from now is for something unrelated to this appointment I’m trying to make. My friend called back for me and explained what the dentist said too because she was the one who took me and she was in the room with me as the dentist explained. She didn’t get anywhere with this girl either. I called up there AGAIN & explained one more time my situation. I told her I needed the dental assistant to call me back ASAP. She told me she’s not going to talk to me again about it and hung up on me. I went to the dental office that is making my plate and explained my problem. He called the assistant for me and she made my appointment for three days later. When I went back to have this done the receptionist was very rude to me. She filed this visit as a new procedure instead of a post op procedure causing me to have to pay instead of it already being covered like it was supposed to be. I went ahead without arguing anymore about it and paid. She went to hand me a paper to sign & when I went to take it she jerked it back and looked at me in a bad way as if she was challenging me to react. I didn’t say anything just so I could get this taken care of and get home. When I got called back I explained my situation to the dentist but he didn’t seem to care about it and brushed it off like it wasn’t an issue. I won’t be back and I plan on filing a formal complaint. It probably won’t help but I’m going to do so anyways.

When they advertise for walk in service & leave a patient in extreme pain waiting in the lobby for 3 hours is really inconsiderate & uncaring. They weren't even busy. So unless you have an appointment plan on bringing a lunch because you'll be there all day.

Update never got records i ask for and filled out the paperwork.

Door cop / night watchmen was way over top. He act like he was in chage of whom was going in the place. Everyone Had to be cleared by him. He was lacking people skills for sure. He then would scram your name across the 12 ft room.
