I was truly impressed with how Tessa went over and beyond for me and my family this week. After reaching out to her and explaining my situation she promptly admitted that she may not be the best person for the job. Absolutely respected that. Normally in my experience we both move on with our lives. But Tessa actually went back to her own network to try and find someone more suited for us. Within a day she respond back with two potential options. This kind of attention to people’s needs and desire to help indicates she would be an excellent resource for someone. It didn’t work out for us but hopefully Tessa is right for someone else out there.

I reached out to Tessa to serve as a moderator for some family issues. She offered a 15 minute phone call for getting to know one another, giving me a 1 hour window for the call. At 3:57, the phone rang (Tessa: 1, Comcast: 0). She respectfully listened as I opened up the can of worms, and at the end of the 23 minute call, I feel empowered to handle this family-discord in a DIY manner. She gave me a key resource for establishing a foundation for response oriented (vs reactive) communications and some thoughtful words on how my family and I can pave the way for a healthier relationship. All for free. I can't comment on her efficacy in counseling-proper, but for such valuable and patient feedback to be rendered pro-bono, I imagine she is an excellent therapist.
